Decline is mostly about newer BMWs (2023+ LCI, iDrive 8.5/9) being largely uncodable, which likely reflects BMW locking down its ECUs, plus adapter connection failures and an iOS 26 break. The $50 price complaints are not new. There is some product_rot in the false-success coding and the inaccurate compatibility claims.

Versions 3.20 to 4.1 added a forced subscription paywall, ads, and mandatory login that block basic printing on hardware users already own. Some connectivity bugs also appear. The core feature, Bluetooth thermal label and stencil printing, is a commodity, but users are partly captive to vendor hardware.
