Still doesn’t really work with iOS 27 Shows the words “no content” the email came this morning and I still can’t see it at 7:12p The Spark app use to be very reliable, I’m not giving up yet

I can't even get my emails anymore, or connect my accts

This app constantly fails to refresh and consistently has loading errors when opening emails. Updates never fix the issues.

Not sure why you guys want access to all my Google workplace data suddenly and won’t let me opt out of said permission but I’m done using this app. I don’t give permission to view my contacts to any apps

Love this app and all I want is the ability to prioritize senders and group emails. All this BS AI stuff and they think they can charge $100/year. I’d gladly pay $50/year for the features that I use but this is absurd. Best of luck to Readle.

Unable to eliminate ‘conversations’ and maintain separate emails for reading and replying. Further, their systems had regular difficulty downloading messages where competitive systems downloaded emails without issue at the same time. Spark is not my recommendation for email assistant. I wanted to like it but it doesn’t meet my needs or expectations. I don’t like emails automatically converted to a single ‘conversation’ where it is much more difficult to track and reply accordingly. Just my opinion.

Used to be great but has gone to absolute garbage

Sometimes the app will not load the content of an email. Sorry but that’s table stakes for an email app. If you can’t load an email, nothing else matters.

Irritating enough that I can’t send anything but when I delete them to stop the outbox messages they restore themselves and continue nagging me. I’m going to have to switch to something else.

Recently, I came to my attention that I sent an email from a name that I never went by. but was legally affiliated to me more than 15 years ago. The name came from my outlook.com address email, but the email was sent from Sparkmail when I send the emails from outlook.com, it has my name correct as it should and always has. I've only been using Spark for less than a year, so there's no way they could've known about that name I never would have given it to them as part of my information aside from the fury and the emotional damage that you have caused, somebody tell me how you felt it was appropriate or acceptable for you to dig into my past 15 years prior, find a name that I never went by and use that in a professional email correspondence. How dare you? You should be ashamed, and i should SUE

I have been happily using this app for many years, clear back to the classic version. However, since iOS26, the app has become almost unusable. If it decides to fetch my emails from my gmail account, which it doesn’t on many days, when I try to open the emails I’m met with the dreaded spinning circle. If it doesn’t download the emails at all then I have to go to gmail and see them and they open fine. After spending several days and one entire day trying to fix the issue on my end I’ve given up. There’s no point in paying for another email app, especially if it’s not working. And I don’t believe the customer should have to go down 50 rabbit holes and it still doesn’t fix the problem. There are a lot of features I liked and that was why I was willing to pay for it. I might consider reinstalling it if I can be assured that it’s been fixed, if not…it’s been nice knowing you. Oh, and the ai stuff, that I could and have lived without for 76 years, I think that’s just unnecessary bloat and another reason to charge more money.

I’ve used this app for years but I’ve now discontinued use after constantly rising prices and a bug earlier this year which archived most messages in multiple mailboxes. I worked with support and they said it was a user issue when I pushed back they said they have no idea because we enabled debug logging after it happened. As a result I had 12,000 emails I either had to leave as archive or manually fix myself. The app is also filled with more AI stuff that isnt useful. It’s become increasingly bloated, slow and buggy as the years go by. Just canceled my subscription I’ve had for 5+ years and deleted the app.

I’ve given this app several chances over the last 5 years. It’s so complicated, I cannot find the email that was sent just a few minutes ago because it is so smart if filters my messages in some weird place that seems always take me time to find. I just want to find the email that was I received just minutes ago. I often have to leave this app and go login to the google web mail just to have a simpler interface where I can find the email that was just received.

Spark was great till it wasn’t now it’s an overly saturated AI Email Assistant, which would be okay if it was an email app first and AI was an add on, but it’s AI first. Recommend don’t buy, don’t install.

Idk what yall did to break the app but now it’s show badge number just to be on zero it’s slow it’s moving weird. I never used apple mail in 12yrs but im think of switching 🤦🏾‍♂️

Spark used to be the only mail app for all my mac and ios devices. it has gone so down hill. very slow updating, crashes often and just plain terrible. i paid for the extra features for quite a while. use the core mail app its way faster and better.

Stopped working after 6 years of using it. It error out,”Account can't be added If you're using a Google Workspace account, contact your administrator to ensure IMAP is enabled.”

I really want to like and use this app! However, it stopped fetching email content reliably on all of my devices. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I went through troubleshooting with my email provider and then attempted to do the same with Spark. Unfortunately, they were unable to be of much help. So, I guess I am off to find a more reliable app for syncing multiple IMAP accounts on multiple devices. Two stars.

Please everyone read the negative reviews not the positive. There's no pop mail option. Frequent authentication errors with popular web services like Yahoo and Microsoft Outlook/Hotmail. Threaded view is unwelcome. There's inresolved Spark Android issues that remain. It used to fairly good but no longer. Maybe it's time for an app reset and re-engineer Spark by someone else.

Retrieving email is extremely slow with this app. They keep adding features, but the app keeps getting worse. Very slow.

For the last several years, I have checked in periodically with Spark and begged them to introduce non-threaded emails. They simply do not work for a large portion of the population. A month or so ago, my workplace actually BANNED Spark Email from being used because of security risks. Because Spark did not listen to their potential customers, I have no ability to try and show value to my employer. Not listening to your customers is the beginning of the end, and my guess is that my employer is not the only one that has banned them because of security issues. At least so far. Not listening = certain demise.

I could never get apple email to work. The key you put in has a mask and you can’t remove it to make sure your key was typed in correctly. Tried pasting the key as well.

The app becomes so much more buggy after the recent “AI update”. Just to name a few, I can’t paste in email address in a new email if there’s already an address. I can’t do control-option-v on a Mac client to copy without formatting. Attachments just randomly become invisible in incoming emails. Sadly, I’m jumping ship.
