Very terrible app.
★ · v9.14.5 · Oct 13, 2026
This is a really terrible app. I tried using it today and halfway through the ride I had to stop using it. When we started the ride it initially had us turning down a road I didn’t want to go down, so we headed to the next road to turn on. Normally a navigation app would just re-route on the fly. Not this app! It kept wanting me to go BACK to the start of the route and take the turn it wanted us to take in the beginning. We were halfway to our destination and it was telling me to make a U-turn to go back to the beginning of the route. And the double announcements were driving me crazy! I was trying to talk to my buddy via the Cardo comms and this app just would not shut up trying to navigate us back to the start. I stopped using this app, uninstalled it and then downloaded Cardo Ride, and that app is WAY BETTER! It works with Apple CarPlay, voice notifications work great, the interface is cleaner, and it works more like Apple or Google Maps. How people like this app I have no idea.
Hard to use
★ · v9.14.5 · Oct 11, 2026
I paid for 2 years of this app trying to figure out how to use it correctly and even asked their customer service for help and they just told me there a a lot of YouTube videos that I could watch.
Not worth it
★★ · v9.14.5 · Oct 10, 2026
I downloaded the app specifically because a couple routes on Google that were from REVER. The map doesn’t quickly reroute, it crashed on me mid-ride, and you can’t edit or join a route mid way. I quickly cancelled my free trial and deleted the app. I’ll just keep using Waze
Kinda disappointed
★★ · v9.14.4 · Oct 6, 2026
I’m very disappointed that REVER doesn’t have a true Round Trip feature. Sometimes I don’t have a specific destination — I just want to ride for an hour or two, explore scenic or twisty roads, and end up back where I started.
Other motorcycle navigation apps offer this kind of feature, and for me it’s one of the most useful options a motorcycle navigation app can have.
I like the idea behind REVER, but without a Round Trip option, I don’t see a reason to upgrade to the paid version. I would definitely reconsider if this feature were added in the future.
Disappointed
★★ · v9.14.1 · Sep 20, 2026
I was tracking a ride nationwide. 3/4 away through the app finishes my ride. I have to restart the logging, no way to continue the ride. Auto logging seems to be buggy…
GPS will not reroute you
★ · v9.14.1 · Sep 17, 2026
Paid for Pro, but navigation won’t reroute
I paid $40 for REVER Pro specifically for motorcycle route planning and navigation. My location updates correctly and the app clearly knows where I am, but if I deviate from the planned route, it just flashes “Rerouting” indefinitely without providing new directions. Ending navigation, force-closing the app, and restarting the route doesn’t reliably fix it.
Rerouting is a basic requirement for a paid GPS-navigation app—especially when stopping to troubleshoot on a motorcycle isn’t practical or safe. I feel like I wasted $40 on a navigation app that cannot reliably perform one of its most important functions. The route-planning features are useful, but until rerouting actually works, the Pro subscription is difficult to justify.
Why bother?
★★ · v9.14.1 · Sep 16, 2026
The only reason I give this app two stars is because the routing data that’s available in the Web version is incredible, the app is incredibly hard to use, fails regularly, is not intuitive and ultimately the design has not changed in 10 years. Exporting data and using it in something like a Garmin GPS is worthless because they don’t export the route correctly, The only thing you can do is follow a track. I would literally pay 150 a year for an app that works well, but I’m considering dropping it when my ex expires.
Worse than free google maps
★ · v9.14.1 · Sep 16, 2026
I intentionally downloaded the Rever app because of the shortcomings that Google Maps has Wen plotting motorcycle trips. As it turns out, Reaver is worse and you have to pay for Google Maps perform better not well but better and it's free. my issues were several after taking tutorial and plotting a course went out on my ride whoever goes into sleep mode, even though I'm in the active ride mode. The screen freezes, even though I have four bars of signal and getting fine reception.. most annoying like Google. It takes me off the course and puts me on some aimless U-turn for no reason that had nothing to do with me plotting the course it happens several times. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but very annoyed at this product and the time I wasted trying it out. And then being disappointed on my trip having to stop and reroute on Google, which performed better.
Does NOT offer turn by turn directions
★ · v9.14.0 · Sep 4, 2026
It says it does. It sounds like it does, but if you miss a turn, it stops giving directions. In fact, I didn’t get any verbal directions after the initial turn which was always halfway cut off. After 3 attempts, I gave up. This app requires you to ride your bike while looking at it or know where you are going which completely defeats the purpose of using it finding new routes and roads.
Failed for me
★ · v9.13.2 · Aug 24, 2026
I downloaded the App and went on a ride. The map showing unavailable non existent roads was the first bad checkmark. I then tried to play my Apple Music while riding through my earbuds. Revor high jacked the Bluetooth and would not allow me to listen to my music. Fail! I got home, cancelled the pro subscription and removed the app from my phone.
Buggy and not worth it, Google Maps does it better”
★ · v9.13.2 · Aug 3, 2026
Has a lot of bugs, giving wrong directions during the ride, or delayed instructions , and sometimes its just blackouts, better to use the free map apps such as Google Maps
This app is atrocious
★ · v9.13.2 · Jul 20, 2026
Good idea and good content, but they need professional software engineers. The UI/UX is god awful
Hot garbage
★★ · v9.13.2 · Jul 18, 2026
So buggy. My downloaded routes keep deleting themselves, which is super fun when you’re at Get On ADV Fest halfway through a ride in a place without cell service and you don’t know the area. Works decent for tracking your ride and if there is signal, but don’t rely on this app as your only navigation. Don’t waste your time. There are better options.
Did not enjoy
★★ · v9.13.2 · Jul 14, 2026
Map wasn’t showing roads that were there and it’s not user friendly while on a bike
RK Rider
★ · v9.13.0 · Jun 23, 2026
This app was worthless for me. I was just looking for some premature rides in my area. All the rides in the feed are on the other side of the country or several hours away. Really this is pretty worthless and they want you to pay a fee for rides you can’t go on. I don’t get it. This appears to be nothing more than GPS and I already have that.
No GPX export!
★ · v9.13.0 · Jun 22, 2026
Be advised: you won’t be able to export gpx files from Rever in the mobile application.
Nothing to do
★★ · v9.12.0 · Jun 14, 2026
No events listed poor gps. For sure won’t be subscribing and paying for the app
Rerouting is not working for three ears.
★ · v9.11.0 · Jun 13, 2026
If you are using turn by turn navigation and missed the turn, don’t bother to look at the screen anymore, because rerouting is just not working and I have addressed that problem to rever three years ago and it’s still not working!
Not for CarPlay Users
★★ · v9.10.0 · May 31, 2026
I wasted almost 30 minutes trying to get this app to work with Apple CarPlay on my Goldwing. No matter what I tried it would not show the route on my MC screen. If you are going to run Rever on your phone only then it might suffice but I would skip it if your plan is to use it with Apple CarPlay. I have used it before with CarPlay so this is a new problem. The developer also needs to account for things like ending a route without actually moving any distance. The app is also hell bent on saving something once a route is started. Maybe I just want to cancel a route and get back to the main map without saving AND without moving anywhere
Price Doubling
★ · v9.10.0 · May 31, 2026
I liked this app but I’m canceling it now because they doubled the price. I will not pay double. Goodbye Rever.
Still needs work
★★ · v9.9.0 · May 30, 2026
I’ve paid for this for several years and every year I say I’m not doing it again. If you use CarPlay this App will drive you crazy! Map goes black, just the turn-by-turn. Can’t see the curves. There is no “skip waypoint” on the CarPlay, so if you don’t run right over the waypoint or have to make a change due to closed road, it will keep trying to take you back to the last waypoint. So, finally you have to pull over, dig out your phone and click the skip the waypoint. Why or why Rever? How many years? You are losing business!
Broken
★ · v9.9.0 · May 30, 2026
Can’t sign up with Apple account. They are intentionally making it difficult so you’ll bypass Apple and they can harvest personal data.
Look for something better
★★ · v9.9.0 · May 29, 2026
Navigating is horrible. Turn by turn navigation does not give you heads up fast enough. If you go off route, the map does not recalculate to get you back on course. It’s clunky and glitchy. Pausing the route while exiting the navigation requires you to end the ride and start a new route to get turn by turn working again. It’s buggy. No one in my area uses the app so finding other riders in the app is nil. Just go with Calimoto.
Hassle to use if not on paid pro version.
★ · v9.7.0 · Mar 20, 2026
Seems like a hassle or they limited futures to paid pro version. I found Google Maps is way better. The free REVER only allows 3 planned stopped before you need to pay for the pro version. I’ll delete the app and tell my motorcycle group that Google Maps is better.
Non-intuitive stupidity
★★ · v9.6.2 · Mar 7, 2026
Hard to believe that the people who make this app actually use it. It’s super non-intuitive. Creating a ride is simple as long as you’re on desktop. Finding it after you save it is hard, and then when you finally do find it simple things like zooming in are hard. Why? And I can’t share the route with my wife so she knows where I’ll be? Why? This app is really poorly designed
