I start a new trip. It asks for a start date but all dates are slashed out. So it stops there.

I had high hopes for this app, but needs a lot of work. Creating an itinerary is needlessly tedious. Too many clicks. UI/UX is not well thought out. Too difficult to update, and the battery train on the tracking feature seem to use 2018 technology. It’s killed my battery twice. Way more than skiing apps, SUP apps, Strava, etc. assumes you are plugged in or carrying a large battery pack. Drive phone to overheat. Not a paying customer unless they fix these fundamental flaws.

I tried following my friends multiple times and unable to do so.

Synchronization always fails because;Trip "Mexico" overlaps with trip "Mexico". Change the dates or delete one trip. Yea but the scan created a bunch of Mexico trips go figure it out. Why does adding photos to steps isn’t automatic if it figured out the dates between the steps? If the photo picker was easy ok but it’s flickering and you have to pick photos one by one no way to choose a ranch. Adding Photos for a step with multiple days is a nightmare and picker is buggy. Anyways app did not work at all for me. iPhone 16 pro running latest iOS

This app looked like a perfect fit. I travel a lot. I’m in the middle of a trip that I’ve been planning for months. The app doesn’t allow me to backfill the flights I’ve already made. It doesn’t allow me to add planned travel on trains. It doesn’t allow me to add multiple stays at the same hotel when I arrive at the end of one month stay for a week at hotel abc leave for a week on cruise xyz. Then stay again at hotel abc before leaving. I have quite rapidly regretted paying $35 for this app.

The app used to work ok. But then they added something. So when I started my trip, it asked me what the primary mode of transportation was going to be. I didn’t know what to put since we were using multiple modes of transportation so I basically got rid of that screen. Now, after 2 days of traveling I see the problem. It assumes I was driving around when I was actually walking. As a result, my travel map is all screwed up and is not at all a representation of where I went. Worse, there’s nowhere to change this. It basically defeats the purpose of the app. This might be my last trip using this app if they can’t get this straightened out.

I select “plan a future trip” but the only dates I can select are in the PAST. So I can’t even review more than this because at that point it’s useless.

Not user friendly for two people trying to use one app to share our memories from two different phones. App would not allow both the contribute to the same trip album and allow each other to edit a stop or both contribute pictures. When we want to designate a location for a step of the trip, I.e Kensington Palace and Gardens….i had to just choose London. If I wanted to choose Borough Market, I had to just choose London. When I was looking for Piccadilly Circus, it selected Australia. I’m in London. Maybe I chose the wrong app for what we were hoping to accomplish. I’m in too deep and can’t figure out how to solve any of these issues. Unfortunately, it’s just not working out in a user friendly way for what we were hoping. I wish it would zoom in on where we are with all the areas of London and easily identify where we are each step of the way. I think there is potential, it just isn’t there yet. Please fix these issues ASAP.

looks like built by someone who did not travel themselves. No clean way to add stops while you already started traveling, no way to reorder past stops, no clean way to even expressively add start point; can’t resolve Brooklyn, NY?? and no way to add, neither; dropped the app after 20 min of frustration

I just installed and was walking through the set up and this application insists on looking at my contacts. What the hell?

Just downloaded this and tried it for my Iceland trip but it can’t find any of my destinations even using the address- quite frustrating

While a great idea with incredible potential, it’s difficult at best and impossible at worst to edit or fix an incorrect route that the app created. I’m trying to fix a trip I took a few months ago and it just isn’t happening. There’s no ‘undo’ option in case you delete a step that looked like it would fix a straight line through the mountains (as though I flew even though I drove), and I can’t find a way to add points along a path to correctly connect a route that was broken up by the presumed flight path. I’d be happy to rewrite the review if I have something wrong. To their credit, the staff answered my email fairly quickly, it’s just that the advised “fix” didn’t fix anything.

This is a great idea to plan a trip with flights and hotels. The problem is the dates and the synchronization. We’re going from Houston to Boston one night. Next day, Boston to Reykjavík change planes Reykjavík to Prague. Staying in Prague 12 days flight from Prague back to Reykjavík stay in Reykjavík for three days flight home to Boston one night in Boston then flight back to Houston. I tried to enter this four different times over a 50 minute time period and each time when I saved the trip, the dates were all screwed up. I give up maybe I’m not smart enough to use this app. I don’t know…. it’s not intuitive. good luck.

We’re always have trouble inviting people to flow us. Some work as documented, some can’t see any photos. And the last resort appears to be having them JOIN your trip. REALLY!!! Come on! Get some HS programs to clean this app up. It’s incredibly frustrating to use.

It doesn’t work.

This travel site may be great for anyone using it for their own trip, but my niece is on a trip and I’ve been trying for over an hour to find her trip on the app. This has been very frustrating and I’m done.

As someone who travels a lot within our own home state, we’d still like to be able to record our excursions. The map search in Polarsteps is terrible. Even when I put in an exact address it does not locate our stop.

I wanted to list where Ive gone is the last 30 years. It wont let me do it without dates! Who remembers dates?! This is a dumb requirement!!!

It seems this app is best for people AFTER the planning. I'm sad about that. If I see up several stops and start searching for accommodations, find places that are different cities, I have to DELETE the Step and put it back in with the new city. That seems so dumb.

Does not have the following locations: jeju, fukuoka, Turin, Kumamoto, Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo. So not able to use for my trip

I’ve tried to add past trips, and it won’t let me change the date from today’s date for any of the steps.

Besides the standard features, they claim they don't drain battery however it drains battery like mf. I get 20-30% less usage on battery with Polar steps continuously using my location... Please fix your claim "we promise we don't drain battery "

I loved this app before but I can’t believe they are partnering with some Ai nonsense, can’t trust any of these apps anymore. Why on earth do they need to update it to be like other companies, now this is such some botched version of snapchat and instagram. Having the timer for every photo you see is ridiculous and the whole “tap next” is just trying to make this another horrible social media. Why do we constantly need to improve apps that were ALREADY GREAT. Probably will stop using this app now. Can’t believe they are ruining such a great app with these terrible updates. I used to like polarsteps because it was different from other social medias but now it’s just like the others, bland and impersonal.
