Ride with GPS: Bike Navigation

I have been using your app extensively while touring in Portugal. The only criticism I have. is that I get two or three messages a day asking me to rate your app, and it is very annoying.

Having a hard time following in the direction that I’m supposed to be going. I use an iPhone. The blue icon or whatever you call it that kind of shows what direction I’m going. It’s very vague instead of the Cohen shape. It should be more like an arrow more accurately pointing the direction I’m supposed to go. Otherwise, I do like the way the app looks and works on my phone, but this is not working for me visually

Somehow it can tell you that you are off the path about 50 yards past the turn but it cannot tell you to make the turn before you get there. Once off the designated route, it makes a terrible sound about every 30 seconds, even if you are going the right way. Instant delete. I would not use this even if it was free. Epic fail.

I would give this app a D grade. The app told me to go right when I was supposed to go straight. The app told me to get onto the street when I was already on the street. I truly believe that there was a crash because of this Ride with GPS direction. The GPS said to turn right but the directions on the route had us turning left and one cyclist ran into another cyclist because they were crisscrossing. The crash was bad and I’m not sure if the rider that ended got to finish the event but I would say it was 100% blamed on the Ride with GPS app.

I was able to use this app once successfully. On my second attempt the app repeatedly displayed an error message. It would not launch the app and I couldn’t access any maps or navigation. This was disappointing as I was in an unfamiliar area and couldn’t complete the ride I intended to. This begs the question of what did I pay for?

I’m not sure why anyone uses this app. It’s terrible! I tried following a simple map for a group ride and it created a new map in the process that got me lost. The turn by turn directions never worked for me. Even someone with experience with this app told me to export and load into a different tool because it’s so difficult to use. Also, there is no easy way to decline the subscription after 7 days, no button or clear unsubscribe in the settings.

For a subscription service this has way too many software bugs

Too expensive for what it does. Doesn’t reroute if you miss a turn just makes noises at you.

Consistently when I try to navigate to a route from my house, it often leads me to a spot that I cannot pass on a gravel bike, and it is generally not very good

I needed this app for a couple week bicycle tour. It looked the trial would go into a monthly subscription but instead I am charged $60 as soon as the 7 days ended.

Audio turns late cost up front even with free trial, doesn’t sync with garmin GPS s wonky. Not worth it

I really trust this app to give me routes on proper bike lanes. That said it’s really hard to use. It takes a billion clicks just to get to navigating a route. It’s not even clear to me how to start a new route. I kept getting stuck in a loop with routes I’d taken previously. Also, it asks you to save the ride everytime you end a ride. The form is clunky and just gets in the way. Not intuitive. I like the alerts. But there’s no way I could justify paying for the app considering how difficult it was just to plan a route. It’s a bummer because the routes themselves are spot on.

Free use for one week only then automatic fee charged. Not good.

I was frustrated that the app constantly tracked my ride even when I didn’t want it to. This drained my phone’s battery unnecessarily. I wanted to use it on a week long camping bike ride, but I have to be careful about preserving my phone’s battery as I never know when I can next charge it. I had to delete the app to be sure it wasn’t constantly running in the background. Otherwise, it seems to have great features, but this issue was a hard pass for me.

There is no possibility for a good review if I can’t use navigation for free. I won’t spend money till I know the most important feature is worthy. Your bad

Route planner just doesn’t work!

Offline and can’t help? I can’t manage my subscription from my phone? Really?

Video constantly froze with multiple app issues. Wasted $$$ on an expensive annual agreement!

This AP is very difficult to use. It is not straightforward. I have tried about 10x to make it work. No luck. I took a wrong turn on a group ride and almost got lost. The AP also hounds you constantly to pay for an upgrade.
