Lightroom: AI Photo Editor

It’s great until you need to contact support. They say I don’t have an account when I give them my email. But they dang sure took the money out of my bank account.

Adobe is extremely greedy

Wish these folks would stop pushing AI features

This arbitrary hurdle makes no sense

Guys. 10+ year Lightroom user here. Please stop this nonsense.

Longtime PS and Lightroom user, hobbyist photographer- this review is specifically about the recent AI implementations: I think I would be more on board with it if the prompting led to adjustments that were made using settings, masks, etc. Once I saw that it’s generating an entirely new image, I was immediately disappointed in Adobes decision to implement such a bizarre use of AI in a tool for editing photographs. Very off putting.

App keeps crashing- can’t even use it- I’ve tried all the things to fix it- and it’s ONLY the Lightroom app, no other app is crashing on my iPhone- and yes all updates to my phone and the Lightroom app are the newest versions. Just really sucks because this is my job, and I can’t do my job.

I downloaded and bought an annual subscription to this app due to the reviews and being highly recommended. However, I am disappointed. I am new to editing pictures, but I am only able to use this app on my phone, I have to edit each picture individually, especially when I photographed a wedding and have 3,000 pictures from that one event. Although it has me save my AI edits. What is the most frustrating aspect is there is not any options to remove red eyes. You can try to delete it or heal it, sometimes it can do an okay job, but majority of the time it makes the person’s eyes look clearly tampered with. I am not renewing my subscription, in-fact I am canceling it. I personally don’t recommend this app.

It’s a good app for editing but for some reasons, the app got stuck at loading and keep crashing. I tried to uninstall and installed and did not work.

So disappointed that Lightroom is considered an AI photo editor now when I’ve been manually editing my real photographs for 20 years with this program. Now even using a linear gradient on the foreground or sky of a 100% real photograph will get your picture flagged as AI on social media. Most people don’t respect that and I’ve lost credibility. It dings your reputation, your integrity as a human. Severely disappointed in this shift. Will be moving away from Adobe entirely because of this. What a rip off.

I had a week trial start Sept 20 they charged me the yearly fee on the 3rd day

Used to be a useful photo editing tool, now it's unstable AI trash.

I have tried to cancel my Lightroom premium but can’t because I don’t have access to the Microsoft account that it is under. I don’t even know what Microsoft account it could possibly be under. The fact that y’all can’t cancel the subscription is ridiculous.

Doesn't support photos taken on an iPhone 18 pro. Editing tools are greyed out and no info on when photos will be be supported. Guess ill just cancel my subscription and move on to a free editor that can outperform this bloatware

This is an an ai app. Stop pushing this absolute garbage. It can certainly be a tool but if continues this way I’ll quit all together on adobe. Davinci is not that far behind you anymore.

No point color adjustments. Still. Features in the desktop version still missing here for years and years now. This app is an embarrassment compared to the real Lightroom.

I want to use some to create want and doesn’t not work I want to not have sense and don’t work on this

This is awful! I downloaded this app to edit people out of my photos (and paid for it) and it can’t even do it! It adds more random objects and random people instead.

The new ai assistant/tools toggle at the bottom of the screen that can’t be minimized while editing is a horrible ui design. Did you use ai to design this stupid gui.

a lot of people, myself included, relied heavily on the categories under the recommended tab for presets. it made editing and creating a specific vibe MUCH easier

What happened? The layout is incredibly non-intuitive. If I accidentally hit the “magic wand” button it makes my photo look awful. I used to use this in conjunction with LrC, but it’s now way too much of a liability. I cannot stand this app now. Please make this app for amateurs, and please give us pros back our pro app. We don’t want these awful amateur “features.” I can’t imagine ever intentionally using the magic wand. I wish I could fire whoever put that there.

Recommend Presets list is gone after a recent update. Quick easy option when you don’t have time to edit. Canceling my subscription after several failed attempts dealing costumer service. The forums are even worse than customer service. Filled with self proclaimed professionals that are clueless.

With recent changes I’m reconsidering holding onto to my discontinued Photography bundle so bad. The removal of “Recommended” community preset categories is single-handedly ruining my experience and what set Lightroom apart to me as a long time, self-taught photographer + editor. I’m a first time art student in school that provides Adobe, so I’m paying extra to keep it on my own. I don’t mind AI features but I dislike it in the title. That, plus my former monthly subscription discontinued except for yearly, was not enough for me to begin thinking about leaving but removing the filter categories is the cherry on top of a spoiled milkshake that used to be the best & only of its flavor

I’ve used this platform for many years. I even pay the premium, but after the update on August 16th, the recommended preset library was stripped from the app. This was one of the main reasons I continued using the app in the first place. Price went up and beat features removed. Not worth the money now.
