inRoute - Intelligent Routing

I think this app would be a lot better if it was truck gps compatible when routing and also there’s no need for multiple markers every time you put in an address that’s already there it needs to just show up without having multiple blue pins

We tried using InRoute with family sharing for the first time on a recent trip and have had all kinds of issues with it. My husband and I both have Apple phones and we found it difficult to easily share a route. We ended up updating the route on my husband’s phone and even though it had all our RV trailer data, it still routed us over a gravel mountain road which was not suitable for a trailer. We almost didn’t make it up the road after we had to stop at a stop sign. On another leg of our trip, after I had shared the route with my husband, it changed the route to one of the alternates on his phone adding 150 miles and 2 hours driving time. We will be canceling our monthly subscription and deleting the app.

It is nice for RV route planning but it offers no traffic planning. It kept me on a route where the road was closed and provided no indication of any traffic jams. Might try again if traffic is monitored.

I use this regularly, however, getting it into an excel sheet afterward is a pain. I have to take a route, route it in a well routed order and then submit that sequence to my client. Should be an easy export to csv or excel. I have been told in the past the feature is coming (years ago) and another major update comes without this feature the only work around is setting it to send in an email and then selecting it all and pasting it all in a sheet. But instead of text numbers they put the little image numbers which don’t copy over so I have to then manually type in 1, 2, 3,… etc. I have been a loyal consumer for almost 10 years and have only ever asked for this one feature. Add this feature and I will bump up to 5 stars. (Another feature would be nice to have is more than 150 sites. I occasionally need to do 300-400 sites or more. That would also be nice.)

This app has a lot of issues and messes up religiously. If there’s any sort of traffic it will mess ur route up even when you turn on the ignore closed roads and traffic option in the advanced settings

Still having trouble when I put pin by pin on my turns, it takes me all over the place on the road besides the road I need to stay on

If there were an option to choose how the route is mapped, that would be a massive improvement. Currently, the app defaults to always go to interstate (maybe fastest) for the next pin. This causes unnecessary U-turns/rerouting that’s insane. Simply adding a stay on same road until next pin, shortest route, etc,so that the most direct path is mapped would be a minimum, for the pro (paid) version. There are other issues, but this is the most severe.

New To Inrout hope I may become efficient @ using it. Time will Tell

You guys created the most confusing ui. Fire those developers.

All of sudden paying for a subscription doesn’t manger anymore. They’ll take your money, but won’t provide the services you have spent your money on. Try to restore and they claim there’s no previous paid subscription for your user name. Yet, it shows that you already have an active subscription at the same damn time. When are you going to FIX THIS PROBLEM?! Make it make sense!

This app is horrible to use for navigation. Standard functions require conformation while functions that erase all your progress are a single misclick away The creators of this app seem to hate their customers it’s troubling to require an app with no real support

Who plans a trip with 8 stops? There should NOT be a pay wall to plan an actual trip. All the apps are like this and it’s absurd and ridiculous.

It should be clearer, Lass message, etc, and GPSwise, it's not smart enough to recalculate the route, it takes sooooooo long.

This app uses Apple Maps and yet when using it my charger cannot keep up, battery continues to drain slowly, and my phone is FIRE HOT. Or I can use plain Apple Maps all day and my phone stays charged and does not get hot. I'm on an iPhone 13 and iOS 18.5 so it isn't like I'm on ancient hardware or out of date OS.

Steps are not easy to follow and I usually end up using some other navigation app after giving up on this one. Not worth the hassle.

If I could give this zero stars, I would, it could not have been more inaccurate on routing would tell you to turn left when you were to turn right over and over and over again. After missing my stops repeatedly, I deleted this app.

New update is stupid I don’t want the order of my pins changed I pinned it in the order I wanted

Ever since the latest update I can’t open favorites. Or save new routes. Barely does anything except simple a-b directions. No way points or anything. Basically useless. Need fixed because my company uses it for work.

Tried to get a route from DEN to SEA. At the moment, the mountain pass East of Seattle is snowing with chains required on all vehicles, travel not advised. With less than an hour extra, this can be avoided. No amount of route settings like avoid precipitation, avoid elevation, etc got InRoute to avoid it. In fact, there’s no indication in InRoute that the route created goes across a high pass frequently snowed in and currently so. Apple maps doesn’t route any better or worse, but it at least gives advisories this does not.

Do not add this app

We thought this would be a great app to use as we traveled out West with our travel trailer from Minnesota. One of our stops was Zion National Park. We especially wanted to avoid switch backs in the mountains. We loaded in our vehicle and trailer dimensions, length, etc. The app routed us to Hwy. 9 to the East entrance of Zion and had us taking the Mt Carmel tunnel through the mountain and very sharp switchbacks. We had to turn around at the entrance and back track adding an extra 2 hours onto our trip. The one thing we thought the app would help with but did not!

I have the Pro and twice it has tried to send us (class A 30’ pulling a Jeep) down dirt roads in the mountains of Colorado. I expect that from Google but I paid for this app to specifically keep that from happening. Now I can’t trust this app and we are on the road for 2 1/2 months more.
