you gotta pay to use the printer, don’t download this app 🤦🏾‍♀️

I downloaded this app to help my mother in law with her hp smart printer. This isn’t an HP app from HP. I don’t know what this is but disguised itself like an HP app? It charges me $21 every month and I cannot figure out how to unsubscribe or close my account so it doesn’t keep charging me. Useless. Do not download it.

Why would I pay for this when I spent almost 200 on the printer?

Scam. Signed me up for a trial, and did not get a refund.

I signed up for the free trial and decided I didn’t need the app within the appropriate time frame for cancellation. I was charged the full amount, twice. They double charged me when they shouldn’t have charged me at all. I attempted to dispute and was ignored with zero explanation. I thought they were a reputable app but apparently not. Edit: it’s funny that all their responses say to contact them via email to assist but I’ve been emailing the address they stated 3 times now for last three weeks with no response.

This app doesn’t work. I was trying to use it for a friend who is visually impaired, it wasn’t helpful for her and now I can’t end the trial period.

HP’s strong arm tactics have gone too far. This will be the last HP printer for me.

It’s supposed to help you connect the printer to a WiFi network. It does not. By intending to appear simple, it doesn’t actually setup anything.

So I had my printer for 6 years but for some reason I have to pay to print?!?! This is my printer for home use and pay to print? The real app is called HP not this scam.

Rated one star due to the harassing sales pitch that attempted to trick me into buying a subscription to USE MY PRINTER!

The app wants 9.99 per WEEK! Crazy.

My printer is 9 years old refurbished at that and now I have to pay to print on it. This is a shame!!

This app said it would help me connect my phone to a printer. It said it was a 3 day trial and then $49.99. Since it did not provide the service it claims to offer and failed to connect my phone to my work printer, I cancelled my 3 day trial within 20 minutes. I was still charged $49.99. When I requested a refund through Apple, I was denied. Apple says they send requests for refund directly to Smart Printer App and if it’s a scam, I’m just out of luck. If I attempt to chargeback via PayPal Apple will deactivate my Apple ID. Apple allows scammers to function and won’t help you recover lost funds.

Searched for the Hp printer app and this came up. Only offered 9.99 a week! No other options… scam!

No instructions, can’t connect to my 2 home printers

It doesn’t work with my phone or computer I was reluctantly roped into the subscription model now I need to invest a bunch of time to cancel it. Yuck.

Despite not working with my printer and cancelling in app, the company still charged me a fee. This is NOT the real app! It’s a Chinese scam. Do not download!

Why in gods name do I have to pay for a subscription to use a printer? I bought a printer for home use. I don’t want some subscription service—I want to print pretty pictures of my little pony and post them on my office cork board. I don’t want to connect to some random printer and get some kind of printer STI Herpes from a strange printer. I will be returning this printer.

Thought I was doing a trial. Have not had success making sure it is cancelled.
