Delish: Original Fun Recipes

Went to the website and get spammed with advertisement and a novel of a story telling me the backstory of the recipe. I get to the recipe and it’s blurred out because I don’t have the app. I download the app and the amount of time it takes to create an account just to access an app to view recipes is ridiculous. Trash

Every time I use the app it tells me I need to subscribe, even though I have an active subscription. Makes it useless and a waste of time and money if every time I look at a recipe I get an “Oh no, you’re out of free recipes” error. I have enjoyed several of the recipes on the site, but I end up going with another free site because delish can’t get their app straight.

The app is free but you have to pay a membership to see the recipes. Such a waste. Used to enjoy their website and recipes

Don’t bother with this app. I signed up for a subscription. App doesn’t recognize that even after I changed my password 6 times. I’m canceling my subscription immediately. Too many other cooking options without this much bs. Waste of time

The app truly is appalling that I have an account. A paid membership that gets me the quarterly magazine. But when I try to look at a recipe it says it’s reserved members. I can only get to recipes on my computer but not on this app. Please fix it.

If you are prompted to download the app when using the web browser version, don't bother. You can only look at two of the "non-subscriber" recipes, which are limited, without subscribing and even those are impractical because the subscription window pops up every time you try to scroll up or down and has to be closed again before you can proceed. If you specifically use delish recipes frequently and want to put your phone in "cook mode" it may be worth it, but for the occasional user there is no reason not to just use their browser page.

I was excited to use the app and find new recipes but after downloading and going through all the set up I find out without a subscription you cannot use the app. Seemed like it might have been an ok app but without so much competition, o expected more.

App asks for dietary restrictions and then completely ignores them when suggesting recipes. Was only able to view a couple recipes before you have to pay for membership.

Suddenly all of your favorite recipes are behind an app and a paywall. Wow

Can’t use their website anymore without half the screen begging you to use their awful buggy app. You can’t close out of their personal advertisement. They make you create an account to use their awful app. Then they will sell your data for profits :) truly evil people working here

Froze on the first prompt. So can’t really use it

users complained that the app was buggy and required constant logins while the website was free. it appears that instead of improving the mobile experience they made the website worse and covered the page with demands to install the app.

They let you download the app but any recipe that you click on is for 'members only' so nothing on it is truly free. I wish they would just say that upfront so I dont waste my time.

So people can’t see the recipe online, you make them download the app, and can’t see it on the app because they have to pay for a subscription? COME ON! You’re forcing people to get a subscription.

If you click a recipe or try and search it just glitches out, but if you use the web app it pops up with a huge banner that blocks the page

This app sucks but unfortunately it’s the only way to access recipes now bc when I sign in, it auto opens the app. They send me push notifications that rarely work. Please, powers that be, stop forcing this app that doesn’t work on us.

I’ve attempted multiple times to save my password for this stupid app and it never fails whenever I try to SIGN IN, it takes me to create an account. I wish I could get my $30+ back for not being able to access what I paid for. Extremely FRUSTRATING!!!!

Will not let me sign in to application

Hey y’all. Website is great. Mags are great. Your app sucks. I just uninstalled because having to log in every time is annoying. Please stop trying to push people to your app or I’ll have to consider unsubscribing

Love the recipes but the app never works - won’t be continuing with my paid subscription

App has been inconsistent by all accounts. After the update today 7/10, all I see is a blank white screen. On other occasions, I had to sign in and sign out multiple times just to get the app to work. It doesn’t always save recipes either. Very frustrating as I am a paying subscriber.

I love the recipes this app provides, however I find it incredibly frustrating that I pay for a product that doesn’t work. More often than not the app doesn’t work at all. It’s just a blank white screen once open… almost always.

This app literally won’t load no matter what. I install the updates, I hard refresh the app, I restart my phone, I reset my wifi, nothing works. I have to navigate to a web browser to get access to my recipes. This has happened over the last 2 weeks and isn’t going away.

Unbelievable that it is only configured to be used on a phone. When I open it on my ipad (which I always use for recipes) it opens as if on a phone and doesn’t use the entire screen. 12/23/25, Are you every going to fix the app so I can use it in landscape mode, full screen on an ipad? Until then it is an app that I will not use!! 04/10/26 Still waiting for it to work full screen on an iPad. 07/07/26 still waiting. Guess this isn’t a priority.

Everytime I open the app I have to re login. But that’s only if I can even get the app to work most of the time I just opens to a white screen and I can’t even use the app.
