Osta: Save & Share Recipes

I had downloaded the app because an insta creator said it was free and I could get her cookies & cream cookie recipe from it and when I downloaded the app and made my account it immediately gave me the prompt to do their yearly plan or free one and whenever I tried to hit the free or exit out the prompt page it wouldn't let me at all and going back to that creator's comments others were having the same experience. It's complete false advertisement since they don't let you get the free option

This app has an egregious amount of ads, and the core functionality only works about 70% of the time I try to send a recipe from Instagram

At first it works and seems like the perfect app to start saving recipes but every time I upload a video that has the recipes in it it will say it didn’t get the recipe because there wasn’t “enough detail” honestly not worth it and definitely not worth spending money on it

This app does not work when trying to import recipes from websites. And it logs you out constantly. I was supposed to get a reminder before my trial ended and I didn’t, and it’s outrageously expensive for a poorly coded app that isn’t compatible with recipe blogs. Ridiculous, stay away

This app is great for cooking, but it’s almost become unusable because I have to watch a minute worth of ads every time I save a recipe

10 out of 10 would never use the trash!!! If I could give it zero stars, I would give it zero stars! Don’t create a referral program to in your users to try to wrangle your friends into using it. When the referrals don’t work! You can’t use the referral codes!! Your AI assistant to help solve problems makes the customers feel like they’re an idiot which I’m not!!

This company has been charging me $3.99 for the past 3 months without my knowledge when I don’t even have an account with them. And good luck trying to get anyone to help you from their team. Sadly had to dispute it with my credit card company so they would stop charging me every month

it never acts right u only get 3 recipes than after that its gone say no ingredients found i would not even rate it 1 star i hate this app its so irritating

Came from a content creator who promoted this, only to find out you need a subscription. Sad everything is a subscription these days. I wanted to save recipes, but not add another subscription on top of everything else I pay for.

Was given no notification of when my free premium trial ending and spent money for a yearly subscription without notice

I thought this app could also help me with social media recipes by transcribing the ones that are voice only.

Two unskippable ads back-to-back every time you save a recipe. App works fine other than that. Deglaze doesn’t have ads but you’ve gotta pay to save more than 5 recipes per week

Lost all my recipes, app won’t load any of them

This is the worst app I’ve downloaded. The premise is so easy but the app needs a lot of work. I could only get one recipe to upload correctly.

Tried it with 4 recipes. None of them transferred any instructions, ingredients, anything. Not understanding the high overall rating. The other app for recipe imports is flawless. So I’ll use that one I guess

Don't write reviews very often, though I will say this app inspired me to begin learning how to make apps so I could make my own version of this, only because to me the main function of this app, the whole reason I got it is to import recipes from everywhere: but it only does 5 every WEEK. To me, that's completely unnecessarily slow especially if I was that die hard I could just as easily create Instagram save folders for entirely free. The amount to buy unlimited imports, which frankly should just be part of making the app good and worth it should not be paywalled, is also not worth it to me. I would have loved this app had it not been like that

I absolutely love/loved this app. I saw an instagram food creator promoting it and decided to give it a try. Especially with it being free- that’s how they reeled you in of course. I was able to keep all of my recipes in one place with the click of a button. I’m saddened that they are now asking for a subscription. I so sick and tired of everything needing a subscription. I don’t even use the premium features. I just used the app for organizing and keeping my favorite recipes in one place and now they’re basically trying to bully me into a subscription and now not even allowing me to add new recipes without one. Back to pen and paper.

I cannot get past “Get Started”. I am stuck on a blank white screen immediately

Cant get pass onboarding screen. The onboarding is exact copy of another popular app.

Poor communication! Used a free trial and selected to be notified prior to being charged the yearly fee. Was never notified my trial was ending and during the trial I realized I didn’t use enough to justify paying for yearly subscription. Unfortunately I realized a day too late and had already been charged the subscription fee. Reached out both through the app and on instagram about canceling and have not heard back.

Can't get past the "get started" screen, even after redownloading twice. It's legit just a blank white page.

Terrible now that you can’t watch ads anymore to download more recipes. Before you could watch ads and download recipes now you can only download a few recipes each week unless you pay their ridiculous prices. App is now garbage.

I’ve used this app primarily because competing apps that are much better and easier to use (ReciMe) only allow for 5 recipe imports before charging. I was very disappointed to see today that Osta has implemented the same restriction. Now with all things because equal, I will either go back to saving recipe posts on instagram directly or simply use ReciMe, because I do not appreciate the new pricing and import limitation, especially without prior warning.

This app started off as amazing I was able to upload as many recipes as I wanted I just had a watch a few ads but now it awful you can only add 5 recipes a week unless you pay 40 dollars

I use to absolutely love this app. I was able to import any recipe. Now I can only import 5 recipes a week for free. This app has become a cash grab and I’m disappointed
