#80 top-grossing, Weather
Store ratings include star-only taps from in-app prompts, which skew high. The peak and recent figures come only from people who wrote a review, which skews low. Compare each against itself: the drop is the signal, and a big gap between the two usually means heavy rating prompting is masking unhappy users.

I failed to receive a storm warning last night even though I have all relevant notifications enabled. I could view the warning once I opened the app, but the push notification was not sent. This is a serious issue if it persists.
At times, labels for current weather are completely wrong. For example, all data points show it is currently raining, yet the icon/current weather status will show as cloudy… meanwhile if I check Apple weather app it’ll correctly show that it’s raining…
Forecast is always wrong
Nope not trial subscribing but to open the app App will not open past the give us your money opening part
Radar does appear on the map.
Doesn’t support Apple Watch. Have to install another weather app.
As with seemingly many (let’s be real, EVERY) app these days. Features are getting paywalled that were once free. Leading to developers driving the fear of missing out on the users. If you want weather data in the USA, just visit the NWS website at this point, as this app used to be a great mobile application UI version of it but now it’s just cluttered, and expensive. All these “subscriptions” add up and if every developer expected every app user to pay to use the basic functions, people would be spending well over the price of rent and utilities per month on all the apps they regularly use. Paywalled = Uninstalled.
App is generally very good but in last 3 days has listed snow or heavy rain for our area. The temp was 68 how can it snow? Today the sun is shining and the app says heavy rain. What's up?
Love the extra NWS stuff but everything else is pretty basic and seems to lean towards AccuWeather‘s design and every other weather app
What would it take to build a viable competitor, what would it cost to run every month, and a prompt to get started. Generated from the reviews on file; one LLM call per brief. Set ANTHROPIC_API_KEY for a real brief; the stub only fills in a template.
