#35 top-grossing, Health & Fitness
Store ratings include star-only taps from in-app prompts, which skew high. The peak and recent figures come only from people who wrote a review, which skews low. Compare each against itself: the drop is the signal, and a big gap between the two usually means heavy rating prompting is masking unhappy users.

A ton of questions just to have to pay for it
They pretty much share everything about you with tons of companies. This includes your height, weight, eating habits, your location, your habits in general, medical information, contacts, and device information. Very creepy stuff that a simple calorie logger shouldn’t do. ChatGPT rates the privacy policy a 7/10 on privacy violation.
A waste of time.
I looked up free calorie tracking and exercise apps and this came up. And you go through and answer all these questions only to get to a screen where you have to select a payment plan. Just to warn you guys so you don’t waste a ton of time also.
I’ve been using this for a week now, find it very cumbersome. Downloaded bc it was originally advertised as “free”, far from it. Wasn’t even given a free option. Unlike other apps, I find that I have to create most of my meals through manual entry as the bar code reader cannot find common foods, and the database lacks common options. Unfortunately the other two trackers I’ve used have gotten quite expensive. I will look for another option.
Spend 10 minutes answering questions to then be stuck behind a pay wall. Horrible waste of time.
Worst opinion I can have of an app is one that asks for reviews before you even get to use it. Think about that.
At this price, I would argue there are much better apps out there. I have been using for about 4-6 weeks, and have noticed a number of times that the actual calories on a day are not equal to what is shown on the trends graphs. I have noticed the same thing for water intake. Creating recipes is annoying at times, and if you accidentally add an ingredient during recipe creation, there is no way to remove it. I usually just change the amount to 1gram so it doesn’t really impact the overall calories too much. But it’s annoying. The AI feature gets it wrong 60% of the time. I get it’s not a perfect feature, but I have seen this be more intuitive in other apps. Would really consider other apps, and I will not be using this one once my subscription ends.
I signed up for this app because of good reviews. Wasn’t able to even try it before screens came up that made it seem like I needed to purchase it. Not a trial option that I could see. I went ahead and subscribed for the year when another screen pops up, still before I could even try the app. They want more money for the AI feature. Now I’m $80 in and haven’t even tried it. So since I bought it I tried it. Went to the AI feature and found it couldn’t even see the macros or information I was entering into the app, making it pretty useless as a coach. I tried to get a refund for that and was denied without explanation. As a calorie counter it’s alright but not worth $80. And no trial option I could find before spending. Frustrating.
They straight up don’t have a functional search. Doesn’t have the most basic items. The only thing that actually works is the barcode scanning. The photo scanning of food is ridiculously innacurate. You can scan a sandwich and it will say “Mac and cheese”????
Does not successfully scan barcodes. All foods must be entered separately. Forces you to buy an unnecessary pdf. I am vegetarian and meal plans and recipes included meat. Not very personalized. I don’t recommend.
I bought this app because my husband used it first and showed it to me. But my version had less features than his. Specially I have a medical condition where I need to track my sodium intake. Before I bought I made sure that it had an option to track sodium. I never would have purchased if it didn't have this feature. I contacted support and they said it was random and nothing could be done. They supposedly escalated but I've I have heard nothing back.
Why should I have to pay 70 dollars for an app I can get for free somewhere else. They force you to pay for it before you can even finish the set up. Then it told me I should just eat 1400 calories to lose weight. Yeah that is not how the human body always works and not how my body works. Cancelled it right away and then they still charged me the full amount so I can’t get my money back.
I haven’t tried it because when I searched, it said the Apple app was free. I’ve already paid for multiple programs that did not accomplish what I was wanting. I do not want to pay for this one.
Why lie? This app is NOT free! It will waste 15 minutes of your time asking you questions then want you to pay!!!
This popped up advertised as a free calorie counter. After 5 minutes answering questions it requires a subscription before you can access it. I may have continued and given it a shot but false advertising gets you deleted.
This app you have to pay for, and it makes you fill out a super long questionnaire so that you’re invested in the app before it asks for money. Lame. I’d rather the app be up front and honest
I really dislike this calorie counter app. It's not user friendly at all. navigating through the menus feels clunky and confusing. Adding meals is unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming, which defeats the whole purpose of quick tracking. The food database is often inaccurate or missing common items, making it frustrating to log meals properly. There are much simpler and more reliable apps available that provide better tracking and insights. On top of that, I tried to get a refund because I haven't been using the app, but my request was repeatedly denied without a clear explanation. Overall, the app feels overpriced for what it offers, and the poor customer service just adds to the disappointment. I definitely won't be using or recommending this app.
I was under the impression I could cancel for a refund. That is not the case. The app didn’t meet my needs & I am unable to reach anyone to discuss the situation.
No free
So much hassle to add your own recipes. Instead of popping up as regular ingredients example “roasted red skin potatoes” it comes up with random potato quantities and cooking method from some random recipe online. Then trying to edit the meal and save it is tough to figure out. Wish I could get a refund for the subscription but there is no place to ask for one if you don’t like the paid features.
Usually these apps give you some functionality first and then try to upsell you from there. This is not one of those. There’s nothing you can do without paying. Don’t waste your time.
This was listed as a free app with original in app purchases. You can’t even trial it without signing up with your credit card. Deceptive.
The app is not free. You can download it for free, but you cannot use it for even a single second without paying. If the app is not free to use, the download should not be free either. I used a lot of internet data and spent a lot of time answering many questions before I realized that the app was not free. When an app is not free but can be downloaded for free, it means that the developer is using a deceptive tactic and taking advantage of users’ trust in order to increase the number of downloads.
