Precip - Rain Forecast & Alert

Pretty expensive if you only want one location and really disappointing about only 24 hrs on the free app. Id pay a little if i could figure out how accurate it was. But not $20 a month

The app keeps freezing and this has created great frustration

You said put it next to your actual rain gauge and your are off half an inch of rain that’s a lot with this one

The app used to work well although forecast was questionable. The app now freezes all the time, always asks for location info, even when set to while using only. It has become almost unusable to me. I hope big changes are in the near future or I will have to find another app

I like this app when it works but it spends more time locked up and useless than doing me any good. You should give me a refund so i can get an app that works

I paid for the app, now I have to delete it every single day and reload it from the app store to work. Epic fail!!!!

It continually tells me no rain forecasted for at least 24 or more hours and then it rains within the next 8 hours. It’s infuriating

I have the paid version of this app and suddenly it is frozen with no way to unfreeze it or update it if required.

Not even faintly close to accurate. The free version only gives the past 24 hours.

Very difficult to change locations

When I first d/l this app it was very accurate as I compared it to the automatic rain gauges have on my property. BUT ever since the update it has yet to be accurate. Now it’s about 1/4” off the mark of accuracy. Very disappointed as the new update.

I put in ONE location (my own) msg saying I needed to upgrade. Then it said daily explore limit reached. I hardly did anything and app wants me to upgrade. It’s a no for me. App is almost dysfunctional.

Money grab. While the app is great in concept, they don’t tell you it is limited. If you want more then open that wallet. Wish I could rate it -5 Stars but they won’t. DELETE

Very obtuse app. I would give I a 0 zero if I could. No easy way to add or delete a location. I don’t recommend this app to anyone. My frustration led me to deleted the app.

Rainfall totals have been off anywhere from.5 to.75 inches, usually on the shy side.

This app gave me completely inaccurate data which resulted in major consequences for me.

Only can add two locations. It can’t function unless it always on location. Doesn’t give the information needed. Can’t add locations outside of the US either. What good are you?

Last weekend it showed that there was gonna be rain most of the day on Sunday. All the hours that it showed having rain there was none. The weather app was much more accurate as it showed no rain.

Forecasts can’t be further off. Example at 2pm on April 2 the forecast for Vero Beach, FL was 44 degrees actual temp is 79 degrees. Another example on February 24 they showed 11.7 inches of snow for the same location. I tried to cancel and get a refund for this app and was refused. Stay away from this app.

This used to be my favorite and most useful rain app but after an update to limit free location checks it’s now unusable. The beauty of precip was the map, unfortunately now you use up all of your free map point checks just scrolling or zooming out just to view the map before you even want to check a specific location.

Someone posted on Threads about this app and it’s hard to find snowfall totals so I was in. I found it pretty clunky to use but it was nice to see a MTD snow total. I just came back a week or so later and everything I looked at is now behind a paywall so apparently that was a trial? I’ve paid for a couple of my other weather apps so I’m not against paying for premium content but I need to know it’s a free trial so I can spend more time playing around to see if it’s worth it and I need the app to be less awkward. Like show me the location(s) I’ve added instead of a map asking if I want to add locations, looking like everything is brand new. I added my home city a second time before seeing it was there for the first time. Surprise?!?

Junk app keeps wanting to resign.
