Store ratings include star-only taps from in-app prompts, which skew high. The peak and recent figures come only from people who wrote a review, which skews low. Compare each against itself: the drop is the signal, and a big gap between the two usually means heavy rating prompting is masking unhappy users.

Ended my free trail before the start date of the paid subscription and still got charged the month. Had no way and still have no way to delete my card info in the app.
The app kept freezing up & despite what their tech service told me to do it never would stream to my TV. All I could hear was the words and I could never see the video. I tried several different things that was suggested and nothing worked. I have a fire TV.
I am not dumb, but I can’t figure out how to select a weeks worth of meals and then generate a grocery shopping list. That would be step one for me. I have only focused on the nutrition part so far and am stymied on how to set up my meals.
I was really excited to try this app, unfortunately it wasn’t really what I was looking for. That happens! But when I go to cancel my free trail after trying it out it still charged me the subscription price. It wasn’t made clear that I had to cancel the free trial 24 hours before it ends. Just FYI if you’re trying out the free trial!
This app doesn’t work with the newest Apple TV. I confirmed this with their helpdesk and it seems that many people have this issue and they’re doing nothing about it which is super annoying. Also would be amazing to be able to change their recipes into the US imperial system.
Last time I used this app, I was able to maximize the screen on my iPad. Now, the screen stays tiny and you’re required to have a tv or laptop to cast to (which I have neither). What a bummer of a reason to lose clients (obviously other people have this same problem).
I really like the workout videos in the app, however, it won’t mirror to my tv no matter how I try, and there’s no iPad version. So literally the only way to watch the videos are from my tiny little iPhone screen. It’s super frustrating. No way I’m paying that much a month for videos I can only see from my iPhone. I’ll find some free ones on YouTube that I can actually view on the tv.
I downloaded this app because on fb she said it was free. The app is free but you have to pay for a subscription to access anything in it. Misleading.
Difficult to navigate. Measurements are in oz instead of cups, tbsp, etc.
If I could give a zero I would. I downloaded this app for a free 7 day trial. Nothing was wrong with the app itself it just wasn't for me. This is where this app gets 1 star. I cancelled BEFORE the 7 day trial ended. Once the 7 days was up I was billed the monthly subscription of $29. I made sure my subscription was cancelled and the app team confirmed I would have to contact Apple support for my refund. The following month I got billed again ($29). Again my account is CANCELLED for a whole month now. I contacted Apple and they stated this app has seperate billing OUTSIDE of apple, they were unto themselves. Yet Studio Era stated they did not deal with billing. I did not appreciate having to go back and forth with this app and them charging my account. Do not recommend.
Her videos are great online but the app has a long way to go. Basically 1 meal plan and exercises that require a bunch of equipment that you don’t know about until after you’ve started the free trial. Hope the feedback helps.
I’m sure this app is full of great stuff but I was super disappointed that about 15 mins after I paid $30 for it, I went to use it and it didn’t work for airplay or even screen mirroring. Everything else on my phone works just fine with these 2 methods, so it’s not my phone or the tv, the app is just not compatible and there are no settings to change that. Just wasted 2 hours of my day trying to figure it out and now I don’t have time for a work out anymore. But if I did, I wouldn’t be very interested in wasting my time trying to see a tiny phone screen, I just as soon wing it.
I was so excited to try this app, however, none of the videos will cast to my tv. The support team was great at trying to troubleshoot and communicate, but nothing worked. They were telling me try steps I had already tried. Videos from other apps/websites worked with zero issue. They did say others were also having trouble with videos casting. I spent over an hour each day of my entire free trial trying to get videos to cast/mirror to my tv. I gave up and cancelled my subscription. I’m not going to pay a monthly subscription for an app that doesn’t work in its entirety. Extremely disappointing.
So frustrated. I cancelled my subscription and they are still trying to charge me. I’m currently talking with customer service but it’s so slow and I feel like they are not even listening to what I’m saying. Subscribe at your own risk
I have signed up and tried it out. Now when I want to cancel membership and not have it updated automatically, Appears I need to create a ticket and wait for someone to review it. "Manage Subscriptions" tab does not work / is blank. What a dissapointment
As someone with adhd it would have helped to have a reminder especially that I can’t afford this right now. Also the app is very basic and not worth the money at all.
Overall, I really like the app, having everything in one place. But it’s frustrating because I’m only able to add my own workouts about every fifth time. I’m not sure if I’m missing how to do this but the way I found it isn’t always available. I’m not sure how to change this. Please make this improvement or put something in the question box that answers how we can do this consistently. Love the program, love Maddie just kinda so so on the app for this very reason everything else is great.
The app crashed 1 day into my free trial. The purpose is to foam knowledge in both physical fitness and nutrition, but the nutrition planning aspect has been down nearly a week site wide. When I requested a trial period extension, a robot that couldn’t comprehend the question responded. I was still charged after 7 days. I wish I hadn’t chosen Studio Era
So excited to use the app but none of the links work and I cannot connect to any of the welcome support, directions or groups.
Connecting with a trainer is a personal experience, and everyone has different preferences - but this just wasn’t for me. The focus is on low-carb, three-ingredient meals with aesthetically pleasing photos. While the “yo-yo homies” vibe might resonate with some, it came across as a bit superficial to me. For $30 a month, I think there are more valuable and well-rounded resources out there. I wish her the best of luck.
Half the time, the videos do not load. Given that this app is relatively higher priced than similar ones, that is unacceptable. That said, when I can get it to load, I do really like the workouts.
I mean..: it’s ok. I got a subscription because the ad said I would get personalized meal plans and workout routines. Nothing is personalized, at all. There is no diversity in the recipes. And the meal plan… makes it out so you’re supposed to eat the same 3-5 things every day for weeks. Like, what??? The workouts aren’t terrible but she doesn’t teach anything about form in the beginner classes. Which are NOT beginner, btw. Maybe advanced beginner… but not true beginner. It’s cheap, so there’s that I suppose.
What would it take to build a viable competitor, what would it cost to run every month, and a prompt to get started. Generated from the reviews on file; one LLM call per brief. Set ANTHROPIC_API_KEY for a real brief; the stub only fills in a template.
