Picnic: Clean Up Storage

New update added ads in the middle of reviewing photos - would rather ads if they must be there be at the beginning or end. Also got glitchy and doesn’t actually successfully delete photos.

This was my favorite app to clean my gallery, i’ve used it every day maintaining my streak, and everything was perfect, until.. i decided to update it, and after there started to pop up A LOT OF ADS, you cannot close them, they are popping up every two minutes, its just annoys and using picnic now became a bad experience

This app was perfect for helping me clear my photo space until the last update. Unskippable video ads were added and they destroyed the flow. Unfortunately will have to delete after seeing this. Looking into alternatives now.

Ridiculous

Riddled with ads unless you pay $8 a week. How could this not be a one-time purchase app? Ridiculous. Save your time, find another one. You can make a shortcut on the Shortcuts app that does this in <1 minute. Google it and save your frustration.

If it were about $5/month I would absolutely pay for this. $7.99 a week is maybe the most unhinged price I’ve ever seen for features this basic. Y’all are completely divorced from reality if you think that’s a reasonable price.

The free version of this app used to be amazing. I was totally fine with only getting a certain amount of swipes per day….now, they have added adds that last upwards of 30 seconds before you can close them and some never give the option to close them and you have to kill the app which then causes an issue where pictures you chose to delete, are not actually deleted….so essentially the free version of this app is completely unusable now because of the apps.

The new ads won’t go away until you are forced to hit the open play store link. Pretty lame. Ruined a good app.

I understand the need for ads. But they are nearly impossible to exit out of even after they have run their course. This makes it so I can’t get to the end of my swipes to actually delete the pictures. I’ve never had a problem prior to this update

loved using this app but now the ads keep popping up every 30 seconds and now the app is unusable.

This app was amazing and really useful for me, I take a lot of photos and would periodically have a lot of storage issues. I liked that this app didn’t force you to use their subscription and didn’t have ads. Well, they changed that. I was swiping as usual today and I had one of those gross AI pop up ads for some random mobile game and it was UNSKIPPABLE. I tried to sit through it at first but it was over a minute long! I closed the app and uninstalled. Society has progressed past the need for unskippable ads in an app that impedes you from the task you’re trying to complete. Picnic is greedy and behind the times!

This used to be my favorite app to delete old photos off my phone. They’ve recently added full-screen video ads that are usually 60 seconds long, followed by a full screen banner ad that stays up until you tap on the ad which redirects you before you can get out of it. These happen pretty frequently now. This is the absolute worst form of advertising and has caused me to switch to a different app.

They have added ads, which I get it, that happens to a lot of apps. But they have way too often, you can't close them down, and you hardly get any photo clearing accomplished before the next ad pops up. I'm going back to doing it the old-fashioned way - deleting items directly in my iPhone library. They just destroyed the usefulness of this app.

7 dollars a week is steep. There is no free version. Other apps have a free version

I don’t like how apps don’t make it clear you have to have a subscription to use the app.

It’s a good premise— swipe away unnecessary photos and clean up your camera roll. And there’s even a free track! But the free track has 20 swipes a day, making it next to useless. It used to be that you could build a streak and get free swipes for the streak, but a recent update did away with that feature and tossed all the swipes (I think I had about 2000). So now it’s just 20 swipes a day for non-paying customers. And that sucks enough that I’m going to look into alternatives. Having felt pushed out of the free track, I don’t want to pay for the full version. I’m sure the full version is great, but I don’t need all the fancy features there, nor do I like paying a subscription for what should be a one-time thing. I’d bet there’s something out there that’s better for free users.

8$ a week, a WEEK. That’s wild. This app IS NOT FREE, you get 3 free days then you get charged 8$ a week. It’s great if you are gonna dedicate yourself for those 3 days to get through your library and then delete this app, which is exactly what I’m going to do because it’s not worth keeping. It’s a shame cuz I was really hoping to find an app I can use for future pics as well, I take a lot of pictures when I’m with friends and family and it would’ve been great to keep an app specifically to help organize.

Horrible felt like they were taking your money constantly

If you have the money whatever, but no where in the app store does it say you have to have a subscription in order to sort photos. I only found out once i downloaded and opened the app. make it fully free and i bet itll be more popular.

Due to some billing issues last year, Picnic granted me a lifetime of picnic super. However, this year my access was revoked, and they have ignore multiple support requests. Super disappointed in what used to be a great app with a friendly team.

Updates keep making this app worse. First ads, then they take away all my saved up free swipes even though my streak is still maintained. Finally uninstalling. There is no reason for this app to cost anything but a one time fee. It has no cloud services.

Used to be 100 free swipes per day and now they’ve dropped it to 20. Makes the app worthless unless you’re wiling to pay.

No option for account deactivation. Wonder why ??
