VSCO: Photo & Video Editor

After downloading the app you open it up and the only thing you can do is sign up or log into an account. Why do I need an account to edit photos? Instant delete. I don’t even care to see what is free because I’m sure everything is locked behind their pricey subscription. If they offered functionality without an account, maybe then I would try it. Re: developer response: it’s clear that you didn’t read my review at all because your copy/pasted response is not related. This is another clear red flag that people should avoid this app and company!

Truly unbelievable that every app including this one are unusable nowadays because you have to pay. I don’t need or want a subscription to every app.

Good app but eventually no one is going to want to post on an app where you get 5 feet fetish accounts messaging you.

VSCO has been one of my favorite platforms/apps since I was 14 (now 22). I love it dearly, but the prices are just too insane now! $12.99 a month for pro version is absurd. Wish I could buy it once & not have a subscription, it’s just greedy at this point. You don’t get much tool access with the free version. Not worth the frustration anymore :(

Some 48 mp photos taken on an iPhone using Fotorgrear, then edited in the native caused it to appear with huge green or gray squares. Choosing it revert the change in the iPad app did not resolve it. Not these squares appear in the iPad vsco app. The squares take up about 1/erd of the frame. I’ll try filing a support ticket, but I have examples in screenshots.

Every photo that I upload, there’s a massive green block through the photo. It doesn’t matter if it’s from my iPhone or from a professional camera. It just won’t upload without that green block. Makes me sad.

All of the iPhone photos I have imported today have a dark "screen" over them in VSCO. Like an opaque black filter. I have tried everything, even deleting the app which caused me to lose all of my favorites and settings, and it's still happening. Unacceptable!

I’ve used VSCO for years and have been paying for a membership subscription. Recently whenever I go to upload photos into drafts to edit they end up coming through looking burnt. I have tried to reach out to their support for help and haven’t got any straight answers. I feel like I’m wasting money on a subscription I can’t even use!

Now every time I put on a filter and turn down the strength it makes the picture brighter? Is this a glitch? I’m about to delete my account after using this app for years.

I’ve been using VSCO for 12 years, maybe more, and have absolutely loved it. However, the quality and performance of this app has gone out the window rapidly within the past few years. The interface continuously gets more difficult and less seamless to edit photos. I experience glitching all the time, photos being lost, and being unable to upload or export photos. For the first time, I will not be renewing my membership.

I so badly want to love this app… it has some great features but it’s just so clunky that it’s frustratingly unusable half the time. Want to import photos? Gotta roll the dice and see if it’ll let you!

I have no idea how this has such a high rating nor how so many people use it. The photos that I selected for it simply don’t show up in the app, and I have no way to edit them. It just keeps telling me to add photos, and when I do, nothing happens. And that was after signing up for an account (why?), then selecting the photos that it should have access to, then declining its offer for me to join a photo contest, then declining its offer for me to download their new camera app… and now they’re sending me spam emails. Whatever this app is supposed to do, it clearly does not want to do it for me

Dear whatever waste of space and time made the new update on this app where your studio deletes if you don’t have all the photos from your camera roll selected, I am actually taking the time right now to write a second review after learning if you use certain choice words it will be removed. I literally cannot rest until you receive this message, so I’ve taken it upon myself to convey my feelings towards you as best as I can, without using the wording most fitting for this grotesque situation. You are truly, an abomination to this planet and everything on it. You are… a complete and utter incompetent idiot and you genuinely deserve less than nothing. I can imagine no other reason why such a worthless imbecile would have employment during a time like this, other than some sort of program similar to affirmative action for those who are MENTALLY INEPT. Today while I was trying so desperately to update my account on my month, everytime I would refresh the page and my hard work would diminish. I couldn’t help but think to myself that the morally corrupt individual who decided to implement this should actually be tarred and feathered at the next meeting! I couldn’t help but wonder what this useless ugly rat could possibly gain from this besides my undying hatred and rage. kinda sucks now. like why is it so hard to just do they basic functions

Even copying edits now costs money. I’ve been using VSCO since probably 2012/13. I purchased a lot of the original presets back in the day and have paid for pro on and off over the years but it was expensive even when I did, and has only gotten even more so since. Like many others complaints, everything costing is a huge deterrent, even simple tools that other apps offer completely free and that VSCO once included for free... it just feels a bit like a sunken cost fallacy I guess because of how much time and money I put into the app all these years. I want to love you still VSCO, but I literally cannot afford to. :(

If you’re editing and use other apps it’ll close without saving your work. Take notes from Snapchat cause it’s hella annoying

I did a free trial and I cancelled it but now I am being charged $39.99 for an app I do not want and I can’t download my dexcom app to track my blood sugar because I have this $39.99 outstanding balance. I genuinely do not have that amount in my bank account. I am a teacher at a low income school. I can’t afford this charge, I don’t want the app, I cancelled the free trial. So please help me resolve this.

I used to love vsco because if was an app I could post without comments or worrying about popularity. Lately it's been super "insta" girl leaded. I get apps need money, but we'd pay for an app that is for the people not the money
