Store ratings include star-only taps from in-app prompts, which skew high. The peak and recent figures come only from people who wrote a review, which skews low. Compare each against itself: the drop is the signal, and a big gap between the two usually means heavy rating prompting is masking unhappy users.

Expensive for what you get

★ · v7.0.1 · Oct 1, 2026

Bland meals, does not accommodate larger families, ordering portions are off, recipes are unappetizing and lazy (shrimp on a hot dog bun…what? Unseasoned chicken and broccoli on white rice…boring), did the 14 day trial and got charged for all kinds of plans I didn’t want, huge waste of money

Trial beware

★ · v7.0.1 · Sep 29, 2026

I used a different meal planning app in the past and needed a replacement. I wanted to give this a try but you can only try it when you sign up for a free trial. I didn’t like it and deleted the app, and thought I signed up through the App Store for a subscription but it was actually through PayPal so I didn’t cancel it. Now I got charged $60 for a years subscription to an app I’ve deleted and only used a few days. I contacted customer support and was told they don’t give refunds.

Garbage

★ · v7.0.1 · Sep 19, 2026

We don’t drink alcohol and there is no way to turn off the “wine pairing suggestion” obnoxious. And the pop up ads and specific brand names - more commercial than useful disappointing.

Not

★★ · v7.0.1 · Sep 13, 2026

It is not connecting right with the Walmart app. I added everything and it’s not showing on the Walmart app on my account- and then I went back in through emeals and my whole list was gone.

Not worth it. Additional year charged without notification.

★ · v7.0.1 · Sep 8, 2026

Not worth the price. A free AI meal plan is much more personalized and useful.

Works but Nonstandard Subscription Terms

★★ · v7.0.0 · Aug 29, 2026

The app and overall meal planning process does work. It allows planning meals of your dietary choice and integrated shopping orders. The gotcha is that they do NOT offer ANY refunds on subscriptions prorated or otherwise as do the majority of vendors I have worked with. The cancellation process is a convoluted, many click process that could be one button in my opinion. Beware of this.

Scammy

★ · v6.3.1 · Aug 5, 2026

If I could give no stars I would. Besides not being transparent about pricing, they don’t really offer any value. Also after not being transparent about pricing they will charge you and refuse to give refunds on paid subscriptions even though I’ve canceled and I’m no longer using their “service.” Extremely disappointed. They definitely need to be more transparent with pricing and actually offer more for $60/month.

Love the idea, but the execution is awful

★ · v6.3.1 · Aug 1, 2026

I did a free trial a while ago, but didn’t actually use the app or test any recipes. This week I decided to try using the app again and actually meal plan and prepare the meals, and I noticed several things. 1. I wish the app had an option to continue on a monthly basis instead of choosing 3 months or a year. I unfortunately am cancelling my membership primarily for this reason. 2. The AI doesn’t do a very good job creating lists from the recipes. It was really annoying to have to do the work of ensuring that the grocery items and their respective amounts actually line of with the recipes. From what I understand, that was supposed to be the whole point. But I wound up having to go through the list and manually make several changes. I really feel that I shouldn’t have to edit the grocery list so drastically. Also the fact that it includes recommended wine pairings in the grocery list is an obvious and obnoxious upsell. 3. The recipes don’t offer metric measurements, even though the ingredient list largely goes off of oz. Some of us still prefer to use and kitchen scale in the US, especially when making lists so we know we have the proper ingredient amounts. 4z for some reason when I chose my plan, it charged me twice: once for a yearly plan and once for a 3-month plan. I am still trying to figure out how to get refunded. 5. Some recipes available for 2 people are not available in the family size. It’s fine, but I have to do the math of doubling the recipes myself. Many recipes online allow you to customize based off of how many servings you want. 6. There isn’t a search function on the main page, which makes it hard to look for recipes you haven’t already saved. 7. I did the math on meal just for our lunch and dinner, and if I were to do a full week of recipes it would make our grocery bill astronomical. I ended up doing three recipes each and we’re doubling those in order to not have to buy a gazillion different ingredients each week. This makes it a bit more practical and affordable. I really wish they’d put an approximate cost per meal at the top of each recipe. Overall I loved the idea of this app. It sounded game changing. But it is fundamentally flawed. I’m better off getting a few recipes online and getting my groceries delivered off Walmart. A little extra work, but I’m finding myself working extra with the app regardless.

Good not great.

★ · v6.3.1 · Jul 29, 2026

The recipes are good. The variety is good. Makes dinner easy. I don’t care for the strong Walmart delivery suggestions. I don’t care for the wine pairing added to my shopping list each recipe. Needs to be an option to change side dish or drop it all together.

Glitchy

★ · v6.3.0 · Jul 17, 2026

I love the concept, but half the time there’s an error sending my list to Walmart, and I have to start over. Forget it.

Stuck in May

★★ · v6.3.0 · Jul 17, 2026

I have used this app for almost a year now and I absolutely loved it…until now. My app has been stuck in may for over two months. I believe it’s stuck on May 6th and it is now July 17th. Very disappointing.

App isn’t working

★ · v6.3.0 · Jul 15, 2026

Every time I try to select anything it says it isn’t working

No flavors

★★ · v6.2.5 · May 21, 2026

Recipes should include seasonings! Everything I tried during my trial was next to flavorless before I added a bunch to it. The technical functionality of the app and being able to easily build your shopping list based on recipes for the week is great! The recipes just need a lot of work before I will pay and fully subscribe to this service.

Unusable

★ · v6.2.2 · Apr 16, 2026

The app will add dozens of random ingredients to the shopping list. I had 9 12 oz bags of broccoli when I needed 3. 9 bell peppers when I needed 3. The list goes on and on. It’s to the point where it’s completely unusable. I reached out for help and was told I need to double check the list. But it’s very time I order that there’s a huge problem.

Cost

★ · v6.2.2 · Apr 12, 2026

This looks like a great service, but I had to sign up for a 14 day trial before I know Price options. I had to go to Google and get all the information about what you offer.hiding your cost until you’re committed always makes me leery.

Aggressively push alcohol

★★ · v6.2.2 · Apr 12, 2026

It recommends alcoholic drinks in your meal plan, and then it also automatically adds suggested wine pairings to your grocery list based on the meals you added. No, you cannot turn either of these "features" off.

Just use Pinterest

★ · v6.2.2 · Apr 3, 2026

I have been using the same meal plan app for years but wanted to try a little variety. I saw this one, so I subscribed to the free trial. If you’re going to create a meal planning app, include breakfast, lunch and snacks in the overall subscription. Or just in the 2-week trial. I was charged $39.99 just to look at the breakfast options. Not only did this frustrate but the app was glitchy. The search didn’t work and recipes were blank.

FREE TRIAL SCAM

★ · v6.2.2 · Mar 31, 2026

I used the free trial for about 10 mins before I realized that the app wasn’t going to work for my needs. Which is fine, however they charged my card immediately and refused to refund my money! BEWARE! If this happens to you don’t bother contacting these people, rather contact Apple who gave me a full refund immediately. So to sum up: this company could charge you before the free trial is up and the customer service sucks!

No refunds period

★ · v6.2.1 · Mar 13, 2026

They don’t have a reminder that your subscription is coming up, and they will not refund even if you email and explain the mistake. I got charged for another year and havent used it for the majority of my original year purchase. I’m sure they can see that. Unsatisfied with customer service.

Lots of issues

★ · v6.2.1 · Mar 9, 2026

Love the concept but we have been having a lot of app issues. Such as 1) meals not corresponding to the right week. They don’t update and we get the same meal plans over and over. 2) ingredients are doubled, literally showing 2 lines of every ingredient in the recipe. 3) steps to recipe out of order. Had a recipe that said to add all liquid to the pot and let it evaporate as the first step.

No refunds on missed cancellation. Out $65.

★ · v6.2.1 · Mar 4, 2026

A week after realizing I forgot to cancel my yearly subscription I messaged them for a refund but they said no. No refund policy is brutal. * emailed the response to this review and never received a reply

Stepping into the unknown

★ · v6.2.0 · Feb 13, 2026

I should’ve known from the low price that this really didn’t include any actual food. It is just a bunch of recipes. You can get so many recipes on the Internet that I feel stupid for paying for recipes. I thought the feature that let you enter food that you had on hand and it would give you recipes might be helpful. But when I tried it, it gave me recipes that didn’t even include the items that I had on hand! What’s that all about?

Deceptive practices

★ · v6.1.2 · Feb 2, 2026

The free trial has proven very difficult to cancel. When I signed up- I tried to cancel after my first yea. They allowed cancellation by phone only and I was in hold for almost an hour. I did this and was given a credit. The following year I was billed again. Without any records they said it was not a cancellation credit but a discount and that I was still required to pay for another full year. Evidently they canceled my service again. I’m out over $150 and never used their service more than one month. Consumer protection at its worst.

Continued to charge my card after I canceled

★ · v6.1.2 · Jan 29, 2026

I canceled last year and still received a new charge. No phone number to call the company directly to ask for help online that I could find.

Fake free trial.

★ · v6.1.2 · Jan 28, 2026

It said it would be a 14 day free trial and charged me the full 59.99 right away. Had to dispute with Apple.
