No support email or support phone number or support chat i canceled my membership and they still charged me for it and no one to reach for help

Bought a course, downloaded to app, and used it a bunch. Now it has vanished from the app. The many and tedious troubleshooting things they put me thru did not resolve issue.

Constantly logs me out of the app. Downloads often wont play offline. Removed a course I bought without a refund and when I try to contact support within the app it fails. I could go on. There is some good content but the user experience is poor.

I’m extremely disappointed with how Udemy has handled my account suspension. My account was suspended because of an alleged security or verification issue involving Stripe, a third-party payment service. The frustrating part is that I have made my purchases legitimately, I have no late payments, and everything I bought on Udemy was fully paid for. I use Udemy regularly for my studies, so suddenly losing access to my account has seriously disrupted my ability to study and continue the courses I paid for. What makes this even worse is the lack of useful support. Instead of Udemy actually helping resolve the suspension, I was essentially directed toward the third-party payment provider. From a customer’s perspective, that is extremely frustrating. My account, courses, and purchases are with Udemy, yet I’m being left to chase down another company just to figure out why I can no longer access something I already paid for. I understand that security checks are necessary, but suspending a paying customer’s account without providing a clear explanation, a straightforward resolution process, or meaningful assistance is unacceptable. At this point, the experience has been incredibly inconvenient and disappointing. I simply want access restored to the courses I legally purchased and a clear explanation of what caused the suspension in the first place. Until Udemy improves the way it handles situations like this and actually helps customers resolve account suspensions instead of passing the problem elsewhere, I cannot give this experience anything higher than one star.

Cannot play any courses. Did this platform give up? Update: yes they did. They sold out to Coursera. Thus why your courses are no longer accessible. That’s what’s wrong with investing with a platform like this. Be sure you always own and download and backup courses you purchase from any source from now on.

I primarily want to use this app in CarPlay. I don’t have time to sit at my computer or tv and watch these courses. There are many issues with this that have been around for years with CarPlay: Doesn’t show list of courses, just shows loading until i unlock my phone Doesn’t load courses even when I downloaded them in offline mode Will play a single course and not automatically proceed to the course Difficult to navigate through courses and find the one that you were previously watching

I recommend caution, the 30 day return policy, is not true

I lost access to my old email, customer support is outright refusing to disable the 2FA which is preventing me from logging into my account. I know my login user/password, however customer support is actively preventing me from accessing what I’d purchased. Their response was: “You bought it once, you can buy it again.”

Whenever I try to use the app to learn things it doesn’t honor my subscription. It always says I have to purchase a class but when I go online through a web browser I can do all the things I couldn’t in the app. I also can’t search for anything in the app bc it gives me an error every time.

Super flaky audio that stops working between lectures: I have to kill the app each time and restart. Until it’s fixed it gate 1 star.

Where to begin? Udemy.com won’t consistently load in any browser except Chrome. Safari and Edge it produced a Download Udemy.com? Popup and nothing else. Tapping on things with the mouse (from iPad in Safari) doesn’t do anything but your finger works. The UI in general makes you wonder if Udemy employs anyone with a clue about UI. You have these presentations and videos and a floating course bar that are fighting for real estate on a crammed iPhone display and it takes some effort to get it to where you have the course topic/presentation with the video overlayed and everything else off the screen because any other way the slides are being crammed down and are illegible. This should be the default view. Having the course topics list there is a distraction and not relevant in the moment. Leaving a rating is another dumpster fire. You get two modules in and it’s hounding you about a review. I LITERALLY just started the course. The by the 2nd or 3rd module (considering the first is. How to use Udemy) I haven’t had enough exposure to anything to have valuable feedback unless it’s going THAT bad. On the mobile app, there’s NO WAY to leave feedback. We could’ve easily baked it into the UI under “More” but nope. Why do things that make sense and make it easy for people to leave the feedback we’re harassing them about? Instead they require a browser on a laptop or desktop. And you’d think ok, THEN it’s pretty straight forward? And you’d be thinking wrong. So following their instructions there’s three ways to leave a course rating: first is the annoying popup that’s way too early. Second from the course card in My Learning which only produces “Share, Create New List, Favorite or Archive” - not rating option. Or within the course player it says and shows there should be a Leave a rating button. Yet in the browser next to Your Progress where it should be is blank space. If I was an employer that had experience with Udemy’s app or website that alone would invalidate the worthiness of any credentials from the site or app because it’s very poorly designed and executed. Additionally it’s becoming like YouTube where anyone can and does produce content and with AI it’s turning into a bunch of AI-generated courses with no real substance.

The app keeps saying I have no connection and doesn’t show my current progress or the other learning path I purchased on the tablet but’s the web version on my iPad is working fine and shows everything. The app is updated

From quite a few time I am noticing that when you access your course materials under my learning and for any reasons it does not load and if you exit the app it close it and reopen the app the course is longer available under My Learning. This is really annoying and it does not appear back until you go on the desktop browser and access the same course. Pls try to fix this.

Terrible app. Constantly freezing and not connecting. The website doesn’t even work on some browsers

With the latest Apple OS update, this app is having some MAJOR problems. There are a handful of courses that I have purchased that aren’t loading and then have dropped off of my courses list in the app. But if I log in with my web browser, they all show up and load/play just fine in the browser. This is the first time in the 5 years of using this app that I have encountered any problems whatsoever. In the past, it has worked great! PLEASE FIX SOON! I REALLY LOVE your app - I just don’t love the problems right now. 😬

The apps UI functionality doesn’t even work on iPads you can’t watch videos or load your old courses without getting an error. You are better off using the web version.

Can’t take the practice tests that I paid. Thanks for nothing.

Classes are falsely advertised as accredited but they are not. Classes are useless except for maybe self knowledge. Waste of money. Instructors are difficult to understand and the printed materials are not in proper English. Waste of time and money

I have used Udemy for over a decade now but every time I try to use the phone app it’s glitchy or just does not work. I do not understand how the App Store is allowing this app to be listed when it’s down half the time and even when the app is “working” it is slow or the actual fetching of data is non existent. Just use the website or if you’re in a real pinch use the web mobile version the App Store version is just garbage.

This app used to be pretty good. Now, it’s literally unusable. It lists only two courses I’ve purchased—despite the fact that, when I dig into the settings, it shows that it has downloaded copies of several more… of course, it won’t let me watch those videos, but they’re still taking up space on my phone! Worse than worthless.

The app is super glitchy. Lots of bugs. UX is inconsistent. Features don’t work. Would not recommend the iOS experience. Not good.

For an app who's sole purpose is to have the videos playing properly, it can't even do that. For days i haven't been able to play ANY videos through the app. i have to play the videos from my browser. Udemy, if you're taking this much $$$ from us for your courses, the least you can do is atleast make a good UI and have it be FUNCTIONAL. It's the bare minimum

The app is really bad. Most of the time I can’t access it because the login via Google doesn’t work. Keeps asking to verify over and over again. This happens most of the time to the point where I just join from my laptop. Udemy has good content but the app is horrible

Udemy has gone downhill in the last few years, but this is a new low. Ads for coffee before I can start my lesson (which I paid for)
