They locked everything a behind a subscription. No longer any good.

You have ruined a great product by disabling desktop access. I wish I had done some research before realizing how terrible Gopro had become. I didn’t realize you were going to disable all functionality for desktop access. I want my kids to make skating and biking videos and get to watch them afterward. The camera won’t work without my phone. I don’t want to pay one more monthly subscription. I don’t want to give my kids my phone to make videos. This product is basically an expensive brick.

This App IS SO BROKEN . It Has BUGS & GLITCHES That Will Literally Stress You Out. It will stop you from successfully completing edit without it crashing. It’s so many little editing glitches it has I’m sorry to many great reviews had to be the honest review. I’m literally putting this review right after ANOTHER incident where I cant edit this dam video because the app is glitched out and keeps crashing on me THE GOPRO CLOUD SAVING IS BROKEN IT DOESNT UPLOAD VIDEOS TO GOPRO CLOUD PROPERLY YOU HAVE TO CLOSE APP RE OPEN MULTIPLE TIMES TO EVEN GET IT TOOO START SYNCING PROPERLY

I used to be able to edit a video in Quik in about 10–15 minutes. Now something that should be incredibly simple has turned into one of the most frustrating editing experiences I’ve ever had. The biggest problem is trimming clips. I trimmed a video down to 27 seconds and saved it as a new clip. My iPhone correctly shows the new video as 27 seconds. But when I bring that SAME 27-second video back into Quik to edit it, Quik somehow turns it back into approximately 53 seconds and includes footage that I already removed. I have tried saving it as a new clip, removing and re-adding the media, and starting the edit again. Nothing fixes it. An app designed to make quick video editing easier should not require this much troubleshooting just to use a trimmed clip. I actually like Quik when it works, which makes this even more frustrating. Please fix the trimming/editing issues because right now the app is making a simple edit unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming.

I’ve used the app for about a decade and it’s never worked smoothly. Download button never works, constantly displays a bunch of dead data, always asking for subscription…I already pay for the cameras, just give me an operational app to download my media.

Quik was such a great app. Amazingly fast and bunch of customization and control. GoPro’s version keeps making it slower and they keep removing features. Latest they remove video settings section completely with no control on duration !!! How can you start with something so good and keep making it worse???

It not working from my computer and it would allow even after 2024

Removing the desired length means that I have to let the entire song play instead of a portion of it! So we can no longer chose a nice long song and end the video on good point.

Makes my GoPro unusable as the pictures and videos are trapped on the GoPro. I can’t download photos, they don’t load even why I try to view media. It’s really frustrating

I love your app. It’s got such great features and it’s do easy to use. But for the love of pizza, PLEASE make it stop auto playing the video when I’m making keyframe adjustments. I’m in the middle making painstaking minute edits when suddenly after I make some random adjustment the video starts autoplaying and jumps away from the keyframe I’m working on. It’s especially annoying at the end of the clip, because when it autoplays, it immediately loops around to the beginning before I can stop it and then I have to pause it (again) and scroll to the end (again) they try to remember what I was working on (again) and all so I can make 1 more tiny edit before I have to fight against the autoplay (again) because the damn thing autoplayed and jumped to the beginning (again). You can probably tell from my voice how frustrating this is… Please for the love of all fast food, give us a way to disable autoplay while we are editing our clips!

I am frustrated !!! App glitches and kicks me out whenever I try to do anything in the app. I try to upload photos-kicked out, just watch a video- KICKED OUT, or trying to create edit a video-KICKED OUT. What is the point of paying for the premium of this app if it just glitches and kicks me out?!??????

The download option is not enabled, why??? Is because im not paying the subscription? I called customer service and the lady got all my information to say “someone will send you an email about 8 to 12 hrs” seriously???? theres no way I can send the project just because im not able to download the pictures, UNREAL!!

Took 1 hour and 30 minutes doing nothing

Live camera preview on iPad used to be super clean UI with full-screen camera view. Several releases ago introduced a lot of persistent on screen controls when recording video. Live preview is about a third of the screen now. Completely ruined the usability of this feature. My screen preview is now larger in portrait orientation.

I used the GoPro Quik app for all my video editing at my job and loved using the platform. Paid for a premium subscription. Please put the timeframe option back into the video editing. You took that option out and not video editing is way harder.

Why is it still in the App Store for MacOS if it is no longer supported? And it doesn’t support my Hero Black 7.

Every time i want to connect to the app I have to delete my GoPro out of the System and reinstall. Such a pain. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. And I payed for this BS!! It's to a point where I don't even use my GoPro anymore because it's so annoying. And it's not like that i just delete the cameras out of the app and reinstall- NO , it takes MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS to get it to reconnect.

Title says it all. Camera says it’s connected. Phone says it’s not. Unable to use the app

This app is really bad! I had to go to the Apple Store. I have a NEW phone and it was freezing up and not working properly at all. Come to find out this app sucks! Everything you do on it, downloading photos from go pro to app is using all the devices storage to do so. Go pro needs to make the app so the downloaded videos are saved in a storage system on their end and not on our devices. So now I pay for an app I can’t fully use at all! The only way to use this app is on a device with an abundance amount of storage or a device just for go pro stuff. The app sucks! I am a new buyer to go pro. I will not buy go pro products after this. The people who are in charge of the app and interface of this should be fired. It’s the worst I’ve ever experienced with all the glitchy issues, slow download speeds, and massive storage take issues. If you can find a good tech crew to make this app perfection do it! Because the entire crew should be gone! I have Nixon products for years and still use their apps for downloading media from camara to app to phone and not any issues like a GoPro. Please fix these issues. After leaving this review I see many other customers have the same issues.

If you're using an iPhone and plan to transfer your GoPro footage to your iPhone's Photos app, Quik will strip the metadata, leaving all your footage dated Jan 1, 2016. This bug has been known since at least 2020, and GoPro has done nothing to fix it. GoPro's support response has been to shrug and blame third-party apps ("it's better to use the GoPro applications" — even though Quik is the GoPro app causing it) rather than acknowledge it as a bug to track.

I used to be able to use my gopro quick app to view media on the hero 10 go pro, and I could fast forward and rewind. This allowed me to put in highlights in the video while the media was still on the go pro. I can no longer fast forward and rewind. I have to watch the whole thing from beginning to end. Is there a way to get fast forward and rewind back on the quick app?
