GoDaddy: Websites & Marketing

Sadly this app has complicated things in my opinion. I use to love GoDaddy sites as photographer super easy to use specially the chat part. One app where you have all your chats and can easily respond back to them… now if you don’t pay for the subscriptions for the app you have to go online to view a chat. How sad. All just to make some money. It just feels like, here goes ONE more subscription that needs do be paid.

Monthly if not weekly problems. Freezing up. Terrible customer service. It was great when it was just SmartLine. God forbid you do business on weekends. Expect self rescue.

I am baffled how this app has such high reviews. It’s such a pain navigating to the commerce page of my website to add photographs of products. Also difficult to move product pictures around once I get there, as the whole page moves when I’m trying to move a photo. I absolutely hate this app.

App will say things are owned by you and a few days later it isn't owned by you they sold it to someone else but because you checked the app. You don't have any proof. I guess unless you are going to take pictures of everything.

Prices are high for hosting

I migrated off airo and my impressions exponentially increased. Serious seo limitations, that don’t justify the cost when you can do more with less with basic html knowledge or at least access to a LLM.

It’s a completely unnecessary app. Nearly every single section within the app is just a direct link to the website, so there is no point in having the app. Both the app and the website are littered with constant ads trying to sell you on new GoDaddy products. If you click a section within the app, it opens up a browser window and at the top of the browser, every single time, is a giant pop-up, covering the menu buttons asking you to download the app you just used to get to this page. Good luck trying to find anything on the website itself, as they have loaded every page with marketing gimmicks and useless products. Just use their bloated website and avoid installing this data harvester on your device.

Worst website i have tried to work with, troublesome app, constantly trying to get you to buy something else, pushy help center that does not want to refund your money then after they have you for a week there is just no f Refund option. Terrible terrible terrible avoid these people

The mobile app constantly tries to upsale you to the point that any attempt at making simple updates on the fly becomes a quiz about your business or leads down a path different from the intended goal. A simple modification becomes a 15 to 20 minute endeavor as they hope answering probing questions while trying to do something mundane will frustrate you into giving up more data about your business. It’s a terrible app as it does little to support the main site. I find myself always having to get to a pc to accomplish anything quickly.

I couldn’t figure out how to resolve the red badge that showed the number of alerts. Had to delete the app.

Bought a domain name a .com. Built a site on Chat GBT and did exactly what both instructions told me to do to make it work and day 3 now of paying for something that won’t fix when I’ve fixed it 3 times now and won’t load. Waste of time and money. Won’t be using again. See why AI is the way.

The app is just there to upsell you other products. It is not useful in managing domains as the next "get started" sale is always in your face forcing you to flip through it before getting anywhere useful. Plus it doesn't work as 2FA and you end up having to waste time and asking for an alternative method.

Not user friendly

With my font size, so much runs off the page that its useless. Screen width can’t ne changed, so not possible to scroll over to read hidden text. Rotation doesn’t help. The website is a better choice.

This app has mostly been reliable for getting calls and messages through but could be a way better and more consistent user experience. I like the option to email notify with a voicemail transcript. They just switched to a new app and it does the same stuff as the old one. The main issues that irritate me are: It does not remove items from notifications once viewed so it always looks like you have tons of undead messages when you don’t and can be hard to keep track of. It will send you like 3 push notifications for the same item so it clogs up your screen. It will log you out randomly. It won’t load voicemails consistently so you have to exit that screen and go back to see if it will load the voicemail so you can see/hear it.

This is far too complicated—can’t easily access email. Hard to connect Facebook pages.

This app is all over the place and I don’t like it as much as before.

Their system is horrible it keeps blocking my IP when I publish and the mobile app doesn’t even have delegate access. Their programmers suck!

The app has way too many bugs. It crashes constantly and every time I get a notification, even after I clear it, the app stays stuck with 2 notification bubbles. The only way to clear it is to delete and reinstall the app. I’m super frustrated with this app. It makes communicating for my business extremely difficult.

The app is not working same as before every update is letting it be worse

I had this app when it was called “Over” and it was fantastic!! I used this app to create graphics and flyers, not to buy a domain, accept payments, and contact customers like it does now. Since the app was sold to GoDaddy and renamed “Studio,” they have completely changed the original apps purpose and it has gotten progressively worse. To name a few flaws: It’s glitchy, attempts to ‘sync’ your work to some cloud, has many fonts that aren’t even legible, a ‘Graphics’ selection that is mostly business oriented, incorrect English, and b&w/monochrome. It is no longer geared toward marketing normal US holidays or events, and some of the basic editing features simply don’t work correctly. GoDaddy doesn’t know that a real life photo of something is not a graphic, it’s a photo and they also do not understand the concept of an overlay. For reference, I AM a Pro subscriber but not sure how much longer I will be. Before you subscribe, let me say this one more time: THE GRAPHICS SELECTION IS TERRIBLE and mostly USELESS!! GoDaddy claims “Retro Psychedelia” to be a “Trends” graphic selection. *Be sure you sort reviews by most recent or you’ll be deceived by the previous owner’s 5-Star reviews. I am assuming GoDaddy only purchased a successful graphic design app so they could completely change it and still have the previous company’s great reviews.

I tried logging in maybe a dozen times via the app, but every time the app crashes.

You cannot do anything with this app. It’s not intuitive, it’s not useful, and for a tech company, it’s incredibly disappointing. You cannot access email appropriately, you cannot edit your website, and seeing how everything lacks, I would never use their sales and marketing. This app is a waste of time. Downloaded and deleted within ten minutes.

I hate that I have to have an app to get my messages. I hate that I have to switch to a different tab to see text messages vs email vs calls. If I have to have this app, it needs to be all in one place. Also, random badges show up when I don't have any new messages or calls. I also cannot create a new text message. I can only respond to ones I've been sent. It's all just a headache I don't need.

I’ll be halfway through a text message and it crashes out exits outs.
