CoPilot GPS Navigation

I’m 90% sure this is the same CoPilot GPS Navigation system that my work uses and oh my lord is this the worst navigation system to ever exist. Been using it for over 2 years at my job and it still gets me just as mad as my first time using it. The addresses are extremely inaccurate, it recalculates your route if you move a millimeter in the wrong direction, when it designs a route it’ll take you back and forth a lot, and its line of travel is absolutely ridiculous. An example is it can direct you to take a lap around a neighborhood for one street over you’ve just made a left for. I can’t tell you how much time I’ve wasted with this junk. I wish we used Apple Maps, Google Maps, literally anything else other than this garbage but I’m pretty sure the company I work for uses the cheapest junk available including this program.

With obvious better chooses, Copilot try’s to route me down dirt roads.

I have been using copilot for 2 1/2 years. The most recent update that changed the interface from gray to blue, and blatantly rips off a garmon truck gps compeltely ruined this app. Before the update this beat the hell out of any truck gps you can buy at a truck stop. Now they made it exactly like the truck gps you can buy at a truck stop.

The only way to quit navigation is to force quit the app. There is no command to stop navigating. The previous version of this app worked well. Since it’s been updated, I’m ready to throw it away.

This app has given WRONG DIRECTIONS, to a well know KOA in Scott, LA ! Thankfully I am from the area and knew directions were wrong!! Pulling a 43 ft 5 th wheel with a dually with 8 ft bed! Had we listened to the app we would have been stuck without a way to turn around ! Not impressed with this app!!

No POIs or search function available on map after trial ends. I believe you SHOULD be able to search places and points of interest on the map completely free of charge, and just pay a fee only for navigation services.

Even the aspect ratio isn’t right I feel bad that I bought the maps

Trimble wrecked this latest version. Trip planning now gets a tiny map screen, not the earlier full screen; and Avoid and Route Through Here are ignored, and can’t be edited or deleted while doing Trip Planning. They took a great alternative offline GPS Atlas and completely wrecked it. I’ve been a subscriber since years ago, but now I’m done with it!

Scrolling through poi’s and favorites is very jumpy and always kicks back to the top if you touch the screen. Canceled subscription and moving on.

Needs to be an option to shut off the New AI that says “you have been sitting for 5 minutes are you OK” we need to stop to take a piss! Also stop the asking for a review after every trip! Use to love the app until the last update with AI now I hate it but tolerate it!!! Grok’s answer to you • Version you are on (11.4.x if that is what the phone shows) • What happens: stopped/idling a few minutes → voice/prompt asking if you are okay • What you want: disable Driver Assistant / idle safety check-in / microphone use • Point them at their own 11.4 “Driver Assistant” notes instead of arguing about the word “AI” Until they give an actual toggle, the practical fix is still the same: revoke Microphone for CoPilot in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security, and mute the app if it keeps talking. Their App Store reply is not a fix. It is support declining to engage with the feature they just added. I want to shut the driver companion off, its the dumbest thing on the app!

Don’t fix what’s not broken…. I have watched this app bug out crash reinstall maps too many times and not function as intended ever since Tremble reformatted their platform… I have used it for over 10 years and I’ll tell you it’s garbage now.

I tried to get this thing to do some very basic routing and it’s getting everything wrong. It’s taking me the long way if I say I’m driving a car and it’s taking me over things that my RV should never go on if I’m saying I’m using an RV. This cannot be trusted for anything. It also gets stuck on screens and makes you force quit to get back to the home screen. And also wasn’t able to find any campgrounds, except for the ones that are in my hometown, even after I specified other cities.

I have been using this app for roughly 7 years. I share it with a lot of people that do my type of job. Recently, you may have changed to where the app shows when there is a construction area or road closure. The map will not allow me to route on that area with the black lines now. Please make an adjustment to where we can route in that area. With my job, I have to go down those roads with oversize loads because the state permits us that way. This would really help my job. Thank you for looking into it.

The calculate button used for adding stops doesn’t work

Those maps used to let you see whole America on satellite view so you could find the way around even without buying premium maps and now they can’t let you see a whole city without buying premium maps!Forget about USA Map. It has become useless. DO NOT DOWNLOAD UNLESS YOU ARE PAYING MONEY FIRST.

I have used this navigation system as a company driver for one year. The danger comes from routes under low bridges. TN 7 in Ardmore is an example of low bridges. This app said go under this bridge. The system seems to always default to routing off the interstate onto city streets then back onto the interstate. The app regularly routes through streets marked as “no trucks”. If there is a truck route that you need to follow, this app will not follow it. The app usually says “take ramp and merge left” instead of turn right. There are NO truck entrances in the application. You will always be directed to the front door. Or it tries to get you to the center of the building. Annoyances are keep left or right as the interstate bears right or left for no purpose. “Use the left two lanes to stay on interstate xx” is what it says when there is an exit with two lanes exiting. Railroad crossings are noted in the app. However the distance is in yards, not miles or feet. It also misses several crossings or tells you of one phantom crossing halfway between two actual crossings “High Risk Rollover” areas are also in yards. The app also tells you all or them near your route, even if they are not on your route. The app does not tell you about traffic lights or stop signs like google or Apple Maps. Some positive elements are that it always shows the speed limit. It has the truck speed limit when there is a difference. Maps are clearly marked with adequate detail. However they do not show bridge weight or clearance information. Some of the text is too small to read.

i’ve enjoyed the app for years. but this new design is kinda good but these buttons on the left are just annoying. i get that they want it to be super finger friendly but i just find it too much. i wish there was a way i could toggle them off in the settings. the old interface was so clean

The option to prefer interstate any all of the other options are now gone

Switched to Apple last year and this app still having original UI was one of the only things I enjoyed. Unfortunately you decided to give this the same update as Android. Luckily I still have the apk from right before the switch I can sideload onto android tablet. Clunky trying to plug in routes which is only reason I open this. Deleted.

The new update sucks. This is the second major update I’ve goon through with this app and each one makes the app worse. When I started using it about 15 years ago it worked perfectly now it’s a pain to navigate through the app. I’m done! I’m going to Google Maps.

The new update is unusable. Now I’m stuck trying to find another GPS. So many glitches.

Customer support says that next update will have full screen option but after more then a year they release update and still no full screen supported! Disappointed

DO NOT DO THE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION UNTIL YOU CHECK IT OUT!! I used to use Copilot as my truck GPS religiously until they stopped updating it. Then I went to trucker path. Just found out that it’s been updated on Apple side so I downloaded it onto my iPad mini 6th gen running 26.6. I plugged in my first route and it won’t even calculate the stops. It also had difficulty finding standard address. It almost appears like it’s trying to run it like a Remote Desktop. The window won’t go full screen on my mini. Super buggy and most of the time when I tap a button nothing happens. I’m glad I only paid for a month instead of the year. Total absolute waste of $9.99. Going back to trucker path till that subscription runs out and then back to Garmin.

This was my favorite gps app for RV use—if using a phone holder. Unfortunately, the app will still not work with CarPlay. Having to get info from a small screen while driving is not a safe practice. Much as I hated to, I moved on to something that shows on a larger screen. It’s time for an update!
