Sadly I tried two different email addresses and was notified that both were not available. Go figure. Oh well. Updating this review to indicate that I tried to reset both email account names and was told neither was a valid account so something fishy is blocking me.

Idea: make the app a paid app. Paid app= no subscriptions. $9.99 It is two thousand two hundred twenty six, Anno Domini, and you idiots are still shoving subscriptions down our throats “wanna look for a level two cache? TOO BAD! MONEY NOW! ALL OF IT” hey, here’s an idea. Don’t make the app free. We don’t need more subscriptions for petty things you lock behind a paywall. you just want more profits, so you lock menial things behind paywalls for no reason other than more money and your excuse of “buh we need money for maintenance” is old and tiring.

U never get anything good in geocaches

Either I am the most stupid, absolutely ridiculously low iq person on the entirety of planet earth, or this game is completely fake and none of the containers exist. It’s just a hoax to get you to buy the subscription. And if it is real, why are all of the caches micro?! That makes them infinitely impossible to find! If you’re not afraid of bugs, go ahead I hope you figure it out. You won’t. And if you have found one of these, I would love you to show me. Thanks, and please don’t spend your money on this. also it’s boring ngl

I like it but all catches around where I live are over the 1.5 rating or whatever and I don’t want to pay for premium😢 why do you have to charge???

This app made everything so time consuming and not very fun. They managed to have people hide cache at their own time no compensation whatsoever and expect people to keep doing what they want. I hide the cache just one little thing missing “log book required “ after I submitted many time for different demand from them . Waste of time the cache are nothing but a play toy for children. This is for idiots

Paid for upgrade and it doesn’t upgrade. Same app no other option or changes.

As long their core cheating group keeps paying, they have enough to be relevant. But the organization does nothing to prevent cheating and even promotes by doing nothing about it when reported. You can log any cache at any time and get thousands of finds from your computer at home. Defeats the purpose for those who are playing the game well. And don't question them or they threaten termination. They only want your money like a bad religious group. —> Got a response from the developer on 07/24/2026 and they want me to go through their web page but that’s pointless. Nothing gets fixed and they end up siding with cheaters

The only reason I put 5 stars is to tell everyone that this app is very money dirty and is charging 6.99 per month for geocaches that should be free.

It is really fun to find geocaches but my account got suspended for no reason one day even I didn’t even do anything

I went to the cemetery near me and I followed where it said and I did not find it. I don’t know if I have to get in trouble and dig it up, but I don’t wanna do that so I get this app one star review if anybody could tell me why I didn’t find it please do.

any geocache with a difficulty above a lamp post requires you to pay $40 a year to see description and stuff.

This used to be an app for doing something fun and exciting but it’s just a money making scheme. All the other reviews that aren’t AI/paid for are saying the same thing “stop trying to charge us, stop making up excuses on why this app can’t run properly like other apps. Stop pretending you have the users interest at heart” Don’t waste your time on this. Find a different hobby

There are so many cashes that are listed on this map that gets me excited to hunt them. But then I find out that they have not been maintained or missing and it becomes a huge, huge huge waste of time. This app should automatically hide or filter out any caches that are not current by DEFAULT

I used to use this app all the time, but deleted it for a few years with some life changes. I just redownloaded it and it wants me to pay to see caches that are super simple and I have done before, but someone labeled them as hard? A cache that is a tackle box behind a main bench on a path we walk all the time. Locked. A cache i revisited two days ago? Locked. My favorite cache that I do a hike to visit on my birthday every year? You guessed it, locked. Hundreds of caches I have done before that are not difficult at all (because I physically can not do the actual hard ones) I can no longer report that I completed, revisited, that they have moved, or are missing.

Can’t even get into the app because it says every user name I try is unavailable and gives no option to choose from. Unfortunately, I am going to have to delete this app for that purpose because I can’t even log in.

Well now I can’t even use a free version on iOS but android can. Reading through the canned responses tells me you don’t even read the reviews on the app you’re making $90,000,000 off of a year! You could hire 90 people to support this app and pay them $1,000,000 a year a piece! Well they took all the fun out of this! Not everyone has the money! Why is my “Classic” app no longer working? I’ve got 34 finds all over the U.S.! What about $10 a year? You would have a lot more takers! Oh wait 3 million users at $30 a year so you can do app maintenance! $90 million dollars a year to keep the app updated! I guess I wouldn’t worry about the little guy either! Thanks, disappointed!

On 12/31/2021, someone named FLAMAZN placed a “Bigfoot Sighting” on my private property, without my consent. The item was not found until 2/16/2026. I was completely unaware people were using this app to trespass on my private property, between 12/31/2021 and 2/16/2026. On 3/5/2026 my security camera caught someone trespassing on my private property. These people saw my security camera, and disabled it. Geocaching is absolutely NOT an excuse to trespass on private property. Be careful out there! You might get more than you bargained for!

All I wanted to do was set up to caches for my Girl Scout troop submitted everything and was told my account was a “sock puppet“ account I had to look up what that was. They accused me of having a band account and or being deceitful with my account because I created it six months ago and didn’t use it until the Girl Scouts were ready too. I even wrote my submissions that the ones I was putting in place were for Girl Scouts, but didn’t matter. Was then asked what other geocachers I know I’ve never done it before I don’t know any. Why don’t you have any finds? Uh because I go to school, work, have kids and lead a Girl Scout troop. Absolutely ridiculous.

Now that most ppl want to charge for you to find a cache it’s just not Fun anymore

This app needs an expert mode. There’s no reason why someone with thousands of finds needs to dismiss irritating condescending popups like we don’t know what we’re doing. This app also uses a ridiculous amount of data for something to be used in the field. Expect irritating spinning circles as it struggles to load the smallest of things. There’s also no back button so if you open a geo tour and look at a cache, there’s no way to go back to viewing the geotour. This app is pure developer negligence and Groundspeak knows this. They withhold access to certain features from their API such as the messaging center so that users of better apps are forced to also have this one to perform basic functions.

I would really enjoy this app if nearly every single cache was hidden behind a paywall,that being the premium subscription. This app would be perfect if you could have access to every cache,no matter what. You could say I can still go physically,but that eliminates the point of logging it in the app. I would’ve used the app if this didn’t exist also because there are barely any near me. I hope you could allow access to all caches without a premium subscription.

I love geocaching but I can’t support a company that chooses to use AI “art” instead of supporting real artists.

The app doesn’t explain the hobby well to new people. The hobby is criminally mis managed by the makers of this app. Most hides will take you to parking lots and the people who engage in this hobby act like adult children who have no concept of the honor system.
