Remote for Firestick · Fire TV

Fire TV app comes with a remote option, without having to pay a subscription fee. This app is just a scam, i feel bad for anyone paying for this. YOU DONT NEED IT just download "Fire TV" You almost fooled me too This should be shut down. Amazon aware of this?

Literally costs more than streaming services and tries to force you to sign up for a predatory free trial to use the most basic features. Scummy and disgusting app design

We are DONE for that we have to pay a monthly subscription just to use a TV remote from our phone. I only downloaded this because the batteries on my remote died. But I’ll save more money by driving to the store, and buying new batteries. Sorry, but I grew up in the 50s. When we saw TV remotes start coming into the market by the 60s, most came packaged with a TV that you payed for when buying the TV. But it was NEVER a monthly subscription. Sorry for the ranting. I’m going to have my grandson pick up new batteries on his way over here. It’ll still be more cost effective than paying a subscription. Have a wonderful day! 😊

This is NOT FREE- At $8 a week you can buy a new fire stick halfway through your first month

Asking 8 dollars a WEEK is genuinely criminal. On top of that your tv has to be connected via ip. Genuinely horrible app and makes me question my sanity on how much garbage tries to sell me a subscription.

Wants to prey on people who lost or broke their fire stick to steal their money. I just wanted to watch MeTV Toons and then my remote no longer responds to the tv. So I thought this was a superb idea! NOPE. I don’t have a credit card, and I can only play the free trial if I provide payment info. Now family time is ruined because of the remote. No more watching Netflix together. Sad. Thanks for preying on our situation. See ya 300-700$!

I shouldn’t have to get a subscription to use a remote!? My little sisters lost it and all I want to do is watch tv and I have to pay for a subscription to use a remote when I won’t need it more than a day probably!? It’s dumb and very upsetting

This app REQUIRES you to sign up for a paid “free” 3 day subscription to use. Predatory scammy behavior. Designed to sign up, forget and perpetually pay for something you’ll never use again and offers nothing in return.

This is one of the better free apps I’ve found for controlling my Fire TV . It’s extremely simple and quick to setup and you can use it for free for most of the basic stuff; like the same thing you would use your remote control for. However you may have to reconnect it several times because it doesn’t have a good range and it tends to disconnect on its own especially if you’re watching something for a while and haven’t used it in a while but It’s convenient for those times when you accidentally misplaced your remote control or you just realized that your batteries are dead. It’s definitely one of the best app options I’ve found and I have tried a few, but try it out , see if it’s a fit, it can’t hurt and if anyone has found a better option. Please lmk in the comments section. I’d be happy to try your suggestions and picks out too!
