This app is a joke. It’s a cookie cutter copy and paste program. They only want to help you if you want to shill out $1,000 a month on personal coaching. Chris isn’t even involved with this app! Stop wasting your money on these bums!

I paid $119.99 for an annual membership and had an established account containing my workout history and roughly 7,000 points. Since September 1, every attempt to access it on my new phone has either routed me through new-user onboarding or taken me to a checkout page asking me to select another plan. Over approximately 20 messages, I have supplied screenshots, corrected an early email-address typo, reset my password, and tried the direct links, Safari, Chrome, and the application itself. Support continues sending the same login and password-reset instructions instead of repairing the connection to my existing paid account. I was told the problem was escalated to engineering and management, but I have received no technical resolution or substantive update. I still cannot access my program or meal plan, and my request for reimbursement for the unusable portion of my subscription has not been addressed. The content was useful when accessible, but this level of paid-service failure and support justifies one star until it is resolved.

My son tried this app for 7 days, bug did not like the app so was planning to cancel. Before he got around to it we were charged for the year. He immediately canceled as he intended and then requested a refund but Apple said we don’t qualify for a refund even though we put in a request the same day as the pending change. I have never been denied a refund so I presume this is something the app owner is denying - Not a fan!

This app was working wonders for me and keeping my exercises random for my muscles. But ever since the latest update the filter on the exercise library doesn’t work. It always says no exercises were found and to clear all filters.

Cannot even make it past setup, the app crashes continuously when asking for my goals

I was very interested in this app due to being able to track workouts and macros in one place. App kept crashing every time I filled out the initial set of questions (age, height, weight, etc.) I went through this process six times, re-booted the app, re-downloaded the app, but still wasn’t able to get through that initial start-up menu.

Good looking workouts that are all blocked behind a paywall.

I was shadow charged and have been inquiring for two weeks now to get someone to review my membership and have yet to hear from anyone at this company. Steer clear!

I never write reviews for apps, but I’m going to vent my frustrations about this app. Wanted to change my workouts up so I got this app. Workouts were great but when i signed up it was giving me a free 7 day trial which I thought was amazing. Only to be hit with a 119.99 charge for the whole year literally 2 days later. I emailed the people running the app only to constantly get a we are offline right now. Office ours are Mon-Fri 9-5 CST well that’s the time zone I live in. 9:30am I got an email asking what the problem was. At 9:40am I gave the info and asked how can we resolve this because i don’t wanna commit to the app for a whole year. Within a minute i got 2 emails stating the person I emailed was offline and the others were offline as well. So for me this is some BS to be charged when I don’t want to commit to this app

The workout calls for a superset but the app isn’t setup to actually add in a superset like it should. The app is “dumb” and calls for a rest in between super set which is not the right way to do a superset. If you’re a beginner you would do this wrong. For this reason I stopped using the app.

Most of the work outs especially on Push, pull, and leg days are exactly the same from start to finish. Not for me tbh AI generated software forsuree

This app is great, other than the things that you count on the most. As someone that builds digital user experiences for a living I can tell you this UI sucks, really bad.

Zero nutrition planning, education or advice (impossible to achieve great results without proper nutrition) Almost no core workouts Not enough variety of exercises to feel confident you’re hitting all parts of the area you’re focusing on Not enough education about the workouts to help people understand what they’re doing well and what they need to change This app is mainly a tracker, some videos showing you how to do your workouts, and some structure to your week. Not enough to rationalize price unfortunately

I've contacted customer service three times. Two weeks later still no response. The workouts leave room for questions with when to increase weight and super sets.

I signed up for the “7-day free trial” and quickly realized the service was not for me. When I attempted to cancel my subscription, the app repeatedly displayed “unable to cancel subscription.” I contacted customer support multiple times and received no response. A company should not make it this difficult to cancel during a free trial. Extremely frustrating experience and poor customer service.

No option to build a program based on what equipment you have.

A friend joined the app using my referral and bought thebyear subscription at the end of the trial and they did not give him the 40$ off nor did they give me the 20$ credit they claim they would. I have contacted customer service on multiple occasions, with screenshots, and they chose to ignore me.

I’m sorry but the functionality of this app is really bad. Workouts are great, but the app itself is not. Constant issues with it skipping to the wrong set or an entirely different workout, unable to go back or reset it, detailed instructions clearly state for the sets that have no rest you should do something like 80% weight then drop another 20% for the next set yet the app will prefill every column for burnout sets with the first weight you enter (why is there no logic to reduce the weight expected for the second set prebuilt into the app). App is trash, it’s basically a notebook to record your workout and a timer, video you can find on you tube and info you can get off google. It’s doesn’t suggest reps and what to go up in weight, timer sound is low, it glitches every week, don’t spend $100 on this it’s worthless,

Wasted money! Still crashing. Please refund. Back to pen and paper.

Customer service is absolutely terrible. I have sent 6 emails over the course of a month and have received no response. I want my money back.

App needs a lot of work. Constantly glitching screens to where you can’t progress through workouts. Also found today that I can not search any new foods so that’s great and useless.

My app wasn’t working for half of the year and I asked for another 6 months and never heard back. Pretty cruddy for 100$+

Every-time i open the app there is new update and after i update the app stays on the loading screen.

New update won’t load the app. Just stays on the launch screen. IOS 26 Iphone 15 Awesome app otherwise
