Really bad version of On X from 10 years ago - save your money and spend elsewhere

Have used spartan forge for the better half of this hunting season. Had all my markers plotted, mapped, food plots, bed locations etc. logged in one day and poof- all of it gone. Subscription is still valid but nothing on my maps. Logged out, logged back in.. still nothing. Except now I don’t have Uav and Lidar even though IM PAYING FOR IT. hunting season is coming to a close and the app just craps out on me.

Your pins will disappear faster than you place them. This app is all jacked up.

Your property lines are off by the most I have seen yet when it comes to these types of apps. You’re off by over 40 yards! It’s far from a free trial! Some property info is also 4 to 5 years old

I was very interested in this app. Did the trial and it is just Google maps. I wish I could see some of the promising features but all are restricted.

First, there is no free trial. You have to commit to paying for a month to get the 'first two weeks free' which is not well explained. I thought I'd be able to test it out before I was billed. No dice, here I am paying for an app I decided don't want in the first hour of the 'trial'. Secondly, UAV satellite imagery is the single largest stand out feature to distinguish this app from the two main industry apps (onx, gohunt). The problem is that very little of my state (SC) is photographed. In fact I'd argue almost no useful portion of my state is photographed. All the UAV images are in the Midwest. Virtually none of the west is photographed, where I go to hunt. The three major sections of the state with significant public land are on normal satellite. You get some stuff around GVL, CHSTN, COL, and down interstate 26. Even my private land access throughout the state is not on UAV. I get it, not their data, but combine that with the trick for a month subscription and I'm sorry I bothered at all with this app. If the UAV had been there for all of SC and surrounding states it would have covered for the mugging of the month subscription and I would have kept the app permanently as an additional tool to the ones I've mentioned. Instead, I'll warn my friends to steer clear.

Paid app free download. Can’t use it without paid subscription

Paid 59.99 for the subscription logged in once haven’t been able to log in since. Customer service doesn’t respond to assist with the issue.

I had used a trial of the app back when it first came out but never subscribed. I re-downloaded the app just recently because they have added several things and I wanted to see if it was better. Well, it gave me the option for another trial so I signed up. After getting in (because it won’t let you even preview the app without a subscription), I noticed it had charged me. I contacted Apple to cancel it right then. I mean only minutes since I had signed up. They wouldn’t do it. Their maps aren’t good at all. The topos are terrible and most places I hunt doesn’t show winter aerials. Terrible app. I see another review says something similar and Spartan Forge replied that they were working on a free version. That was 2 years ago. Make sure you want the app because they’ll take your money before you can even preview new updated features. Total rip off

It says 14 day free trial. Created login, next page wants me to pay monthly/yearly up front before I start my “free trial”. No thanks. SCAM.

This app is absolute trash. Property owners are incorrect all over the place. God knows when the last time it was updated. It’s still showing my tractor in a spot where it hasn’t been in more than two years. Absolute waste of money. Y’all need to do a lot of work to get this app anywhere close to the competitors. I never write reviews like this but this had to be said. It also told me 14 day free trial but charged me anyway without giving the trial period.

This has the potential to be the top app on the market but it’s just not there yet. I tried it for the LiDar and that is the only good aspect of this app. Outside of that it’s not an intuitive experience. There is an over abundance of waypoint markers but only a few colors. It does not compare to onX or HuntStand when it comes to marking boundaries or areas. It really does not sync as efficiently as the other top apps. When trying to view public access lands it grabs some and access is not available on my computer but is on the phone. If you spent half of the effort needed to just get the user experience as clean as onX I’d be inclined to move to this one…you just are not there yet. I’ll be canceling before my free trial ends.

I saw this ap on Fox News. Looked interesting. I signed up and started a subscription. Ap verified I have a subscription and I’m logged in but still haven’t been able to access the ap. Tried contacting support but no response. They don’t seem ready for prime time yet.

Downloaded and signed up for the 14 day trial and it doesn’t allow me to access the app. It keeps throwing a error message and to contact support. Support has yet to respond.

Used the sign up with Apple button. The app signed me up for the subscription however, I cannot gain access to the app. It keeps asking me to sign up then tells me I’m already subscribed but doesn’t let me in. I sent support an email never got a reply. I sent their instagram a message with screen recordings and screenshots of what was happening along with the app in my Apple subscriptions and they said I had no account on their end. The founder messaged me and said he’d take care of it that night and didn’t... I’m not too sure what’s going on but it seems like this app and this team still has a bit of growing to do and they shouldn’t say things to users that they can’t follow through with I was always taught to be a man of my word so I hold others to the same standards. I’d love to be able to get in and try it out but I’m not getting any response anymore from any of them. I had my buddy try to download and sign up with his phone and his account and he’s having the same experience so I wonder if all Apple users are currently having the same issues.

Can't get free mode, tried both monthly and yearly option and while apple shows I subscribed, this app just keeps asking me to subscribe. if you can't even get the signup working I can't imagine how buggy the app will be.

I paid for this app (year up front), and I have a payment confirmation from Apple. My account is created and it still keeps asking me to choose my plan. It is stuck in a loop. I can even chose a plan again and it says I have already paid for a subscription. Reached out to support - nothing. Guess I’ll stick to onX.

Paid the full price so I had all the features for deer hunting. Everything I want to use says it’s for the premium price. I already paid for the premium price so now I have a $50 useless app

Saw it on Fox. Downloaded the app and paid for it and it won’t open.

The main reason for getting this over onX and it’s all smoke and mirrors. Not a happy hunter.

App isn’t user friendly. Hopefully it improves a lot but right now it doesn’t even compare to onX when it comes to being easy to use. I would have given it a higher star rating based on all the extras it has that other mapping apps don’t but I couldn’t use any of them with the free trial and it told me to wait until end of billing cycle to renew

I downloaded this app thinking I would give it a shot instead of onxhunt this year. but I’m going to stick with onX Hunt, because this app is more expensive for the same thing. it’s pretty sad when you steal another company’s idea and then try to charge more than the company that actually came up with the idea.

I loved it, but then they dropped their free version. I don’t use it enough to need a paid version. I understand getting paid for your work and so I cannot gripe too much; but the sudden change with no warning or notice was not good business in my opinion.
