Picture Mushroom: Identifier

The add on TV demonstrates a banner after a mushroom is identified that says if it’s toxic or not. I am unable to do that and my app is up to date. I cannot get an answer as to how to turn on this feature.

Asked for free not free

I took a puff ball mushroom and took picture of all sides of it and it still couldn’t tell me what it was, it’s one of the most common mushroom what a joke. Don’t waste your time with this app.

My app has been non-functional; When I open the app, I’m given an apology that the servers are being serviced and to try again in 5 minutes. It’s been 3 days.

Looks and performs nothing like the preview.

Awful. Can’t identify even the easiest mushrooms, and after it misidentifies it, it asks you to pay for the app….

Curse this developer 1000 years

I just bought these from a local fruit and vegetable grocery store. Your app is saying they’re toxic. It’s calling them white dome caps. And they are snow/seafood mushrooms.

This app isn’t really helpful. When o take a pic from this app i expect to tell me n tone name like “edible or poisonous” I shouldn’t copy the name and go to google to answer me this question. Second, I can take a picture of the same mushrooms 3 times and it gives me different identification. How safe is it? I have been charge for something I can’t fully trust.

Worthless

The app used to tell you if the mushrooms are safe to consume or not, which is why I paid for the subscription… but apparently they now just have a generic warning that the information can’t be used to determine if it’s safe to consume. Won’t be renewing unless this changes.

Need more updated material for location references when hunting..needs updated for 2026

I’m done with this app. More often than not it shows “poor connection” regardless of my cellular strength in a location. Then just saw on Reddit that they share your photos. DONE. Was getting mostly correct ID’s, when it works, but not always. I ALWAYS further research any result anyway. Especially for edibles.

Not worth $30/year…should be $30 total. Huge ripoff

The app did not recognize any of my mushrooms and I am not able to contact the company to get a refund because my subscription expired and I canceled it however I still have access to the app and I did not want to pay for the subscription so doesn’t expire until next year I didn’t even want it because it doesn’t even work and now there’s no way to contact them reimburse me

will charge your account $30 in under 5 days with no notice. This app is awful & a scam. Get Inat

The mushroom I wanted to identify is only found in Western Europe. Problem is, my mushroom was found in the US PNW.

Downloaded this app and before I was able to delete it I was charge $29.99 they give you a subscription window and then tell you later you need to delete a day before your free version is over. There is absolutely no way to contact anyone regarding the app making customer support services impossible. The app is canceled but I’m stuck paying $29.99 for a year of not using the app. Don’t download this app if you’re not sure you want to keep it.

i understand we all have to deal with capitalism, but come on, make payment optional for people who want to support a good product. Otherwise, you turn away potential users

They will give you a free version, then charge you $30 for what… to take pictures? Do yourself a favor and SAVE YOUR MONEY on this one!!

Scam artists that take your money!

I loved Picture Mushroom until it switched to some foreign language and now I can’t read what it says.

I wanted to try this app out for free. I selected the seven day free trial. I cannot believe you people would have the audacity to charge me $17.84 for a FREE TRIAL! Absolutely unbelievable. I will be getting a refund. I will dispute the charge. That is absolutely ridiculous.

With the very first mushroom I tried to identify, I couldn’t tell which of the several possible matches, and when trying to narrow it down I accidentally selected one of them as the match to my picture and logged it. Then I couldn’t figure out how to go back and find the correct one

I use to use the free portion because I only looked at mushrooms that popped up on our property. I’m not paying for two or three pictures a few times a year.
