Store ratings include star-only taps from in-app prompts, which skew high. The peak and recent figures come only from people who wrote a review, which skews low. Compare each against itself: the drop is the signal, and a big gap between the two usually means heavy rating prompting is masking unhappy users.

STILL can’t create an itinerary without having trip dates selected. No flexible scheduling supported for a M-S format. Yes I’ve asked multiple times over a year+ now. :(
There is nothing intelligent about this app. It doesn’t know your tastes, preferences, or budget. If you try to schedule a dining reservation there is no filter capability, for example rated over 4.8/5. Same with activity searches.
I have found that the app only populates trip itineraries with very specific reservation formats. Anything that varies from those formats does not populate in a trip itinerary and, therefore, the app is a time waster and not a time saver
Tried out Tripsy- It only reads emails with trip information directly in the email text and I am not sure how well it does that. It Does not read email attachments you would get from a tour operator or cruise company. It just loads that into documents and you have to go back and enter each day yourself. It refers to AI parsers but does not provide access to one. If you only travel once a year and don’t mind loading your itinerary yourself it would be a good reference, but I am trying to save time. Not spend more time. And who really cares about a changing if background image.
For 2 out of 3 Airbnb reservations within the same trip it said it couldn’t determine which trip to add it to and gave up. I only have one current trip. In the same trip it processed one out of two bus reservations from the same company, but marked it as a train reservation with no way to edit that attribute. I emailed support, who replied quickly (paid pro account) but were able to confirm it should have worked, but didn’t. They said they would have to send it to their email parsing company, which apparently is separate? 5 days later, no update. Doubtful that I will renew my subscription. If it can’t parse emails and I have to enter things manually, the value is greatly reduced.
You’ll need to pay for a subscription to try all of the features. Only two options were prominently made available to me in the App when I opened it, one month at $7.99 or one year. There was no free trial period for me, I was immediately charged $7.99, even after immediately ending the subscription within an hour of signing up. Unfortunately, after an hour of checking out the app, it won’t work for me. The shady subscription service is enough to keep me from using this service. But hey, the company did get $8. Maybe that’s their business plan.
Imagine you wanna add a personal appointment without having a specific location. Well, that’s impossible with this app. You can’t create personal events or blockers. It is also not capable of having two manually added stays at the same location on two different dates per stay. And it is not intuitive at all. This app doesn’t work for my itineraries and it was just another waste of time.
Glitchy. Customer service unable to solve problems. If you can’t forward emails, the main draw is gone!
Update 29-April-2026: I appreciate the response from the dev and the tip about the share sheet — wish that was more visible during/after onboarding instead of the numerous banners pushing for the Pro subscription. (Might also be an Apple issue as the share sheet never seems to surface relevant apps for me or my friends…) Also glad to hear that you guys are actively working on improving search and POI information. If/when I give it another shot, I’ll be sure to reach out to support to provide feedback. Rating won’t change for now, but looking forward to the future of this app. OG Review 26-Apr-2026: I was hoping this could be my replacement for Wanderlog, with a native-first interface, but that kinda fell short. I was really liked the design, though some of the pop-ups were annoyingly timed/placed causing me to back out of the view I wanted or to enter a view I didn’t want to; honestly, a minor nit. My major issue that’s keeping me from using this seriously: lack of POI information — at least for my upcoming trip to Japan. If, like me, you’re coming from Wanderlog, this app feels anemic for POI data. Outside of really big/well-known landmarks and attractions, I felt like there was a 50/50 chance Tripsy would know what I was trying to add to my itinerary. If it doesn’t know what you’re trying to add, manually adding places kinda sucks big time since it was super out of the way (bottom of the list) with no way (or no clear way) to just quickly add an address and move on to the next POI. I’ll probably check out this app again for my next trip since it still looks promising, but at its current state, it’s got more nice-to-haves and glam than actual brawn and brains.
Super manual. Unhelpful. Just use tripit it lets you email your plans and it makes your itinerary for you.
Free version is full of annoying popups to buy full version…. Deleted
The biggest “feature” of being able to automate booking confirmation from your email to saved trips requires you to individually forward the emails to the app. Which doesn’t parse the emails half of the time and makes you enter all the information manually. Completely useless.
I was excited to try this app to organize my trip but what a disappointment! The email forwarding doesn’t work. It creates a new trip with each email you send and then you have to merge the two trips. You also can’t just notes to a day in your itinerary (e.g. wandering around a certain area with notes where to go). The app forces you to use their rigid search filter. I wished this app was better.
Wish I could duplicate current and past trips so I that I don't have to manually put the same things in the new one, same if a friend is using tripsy on their trip and they want to see where I've been. On my trips I like to make notes and save locations I either plan to visit or that I find interesting so that if I have time when I'm there I can check the app for what's closest, their hours and things to know.
I purchased the app so I could get notified of updates and still notifications are inconsistent to nonexistent. Will be canceling.
Extremely unsure friendly app for setting up a cruise. I want my wasted 1 hour back.
We are moving from Tennessee to Las Vegas Nv. I am trying to plan how many stops along Interstate 40 and where to stay along the way. This app. Is not showing me how to do anything other than showing a start date and end date for my total trip. I am cancelling this app. Now!
Everything has the pro label on it, so it’s not very useful unless you’re going to upgrade
It’s just not a smooth ux and many basic features seem to be behind paywall. I was hoping this would be my trip case replacement, but it’s not
I initially likes this product buy increasingly having issues importing my flights and itinerary into the app. I don’t know what has changed. It is not as simple as it was.
Managing flights and other events in order is a little confusing at first. The biggest problem is that our flight number appended to the Tripsy itinerary said the flight was delayed by 15 minutes when it was not
If you send feedback to improve app you are wasting your time …. They don’t care even though it’s a simple request
Tripsy does a good job managing my travel, yes there is potential for improvements but in general it works. BUT where it terribly fails are the airline updates… delay notifications are 2-3h behind if even at all sent… defeats the purpose.
I have no choice but to uninstall because I see no option of turning off promotions in settings
Uso varias aplicaciones y esta no actualiza los vuelos los marca como que vas a realizarlos pero no lo computa
Tripsy has excellent design and power-user loyalty, but its core promise, 'forward an email and it builds your itinerary', breaks on PDFs, odd formats, trip matching and shared-trip sync. A competitor wins only if LLM-based parsing (including attachments) is visibly more reliable, sharing never destroys data, and the itinerary model is flexible (undated days, notes, overlapping stays, cruises). It also needs an MCP/API from day one and honest monetization. This is winnable on quality, but the category is crowded and the incumbent is actively shipping, so the edge must be execution rather than novelty.
| Item | Providers | $/month | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| LLM parsing of forwarded emails, PDFs and screenshots | OpenAI (GPT-4.1 mini / GPT-4o), Anthropic (Claude Haiku/Sonnet), Google Gemini Flash | $100–600 | Scales with inbound documents, roughly 10-30k per month at a few thousand users, at about $0.005-0.03 each. Use a cheap model first and escalate only on low confidence. |
| Inbound email receiving plus transactional email | Postmark Inbound, Mailgun Routes, AWS SES inbound, SendGrid Inbound Parse | $15–100 | Driven by message volume and attachment size. Cheap at this scale. |
| Flight status and delay alerts | FlightAware AeroAPI, AeroDataBox (RapidAPI), Cirium FlightStats, OAG | $100–1000 | Per-query or per-alert pricing. Cirium/OAG are enterprise-priced and could exceed this range. Pricing is uncertain until you negotiate. |
| Place/POI search and details with ratings | Apple MapKit / MKLocalSearch, Google Places API (New), Foursquare Places | $0–500 | Apple MapKit search is free on device but its international POI coverage is weaker. Google Places charges per request, so cache and limit detail fetches. |
| Backend hosting, Postgres and realtime sync | Supabase, Fly.io, Render, AWS (RDS/Lambda) | $50–300 | Driven by DB size, realtime connections and parsing workers. |
| Document and attachment storage | Cloudflare R2, AWS S3 | $5–50 | Driven by stored PDFs and boarding passes. R2 has no egress fees. |
| Push notifications | Apple APNs, OneSignal | $0–50 | APNs is free. A paid tier is only needed if you want a managed push or segmentation tool. |
| Subscription management | RevenueCat | $0–100 | Free under $2.5k monthly tracked revenue, then about 1%. |
| Weather | Apple WeatherKit, OpenWeather | $0–50 | WeatherKit includes 500k calls per month with Apple Developer membership. |
| Apple Developer Program | Apple | $8 | $99 per year. |
| Error monitoring and analytics | Sentry, PostHog, TelemetryDeck | $0–30 | The free tiers are likely enough at launch. |
| Google restricted-scope security assessment (optional Gmail auto-scan) | Google OAuth verification / CASA assessors (e.g. TAC Security, Leviathan) | $0–375 | CASA assessment costs about $500-4,500 per year, amortized here. It is $0 if you only support forwarding and share-sheet input. |
| Ballpark total | $278–3163 | launch-stage, a few thousand users | |
