I canceled my subscription because I wasn’t satisfied with this app and it still charged me 30 dollars.

I used Mealime for years and loved it. But they sold out to a grocery store chain and I was looking for a replacement. Tried this one and hated it: no ability to add your own recipes, no in-app timers, and the ingredient measurements are weird and result in lots of waste. AND they charged me $60 for a annual subscription when I forgot to cancel after 1 week. They haven’t replied to my message asking for a refund so I guess I have to contest the charge through my credit card.

They took money off my card I canceled the subscription and they keep taking money off i didn’t use the app and deleted the app and they still took money had to cancel the card

The AI feature to meal plan is terrible.

While I love the idea of the app, it isn’t intuitive to the user. The recipes are also all bland and appear to be created by AI. We felt there is a lot of improvement to be made before we would be willing to pay for it.

The app is being used to prep for my body building competition. There is no option for macros even though that is one of the initial questions.

I’m bummed my free trial just expired. I only had time to make 2 meals. The first was ok and the second was probably the worst meal I’ve ever cooked. I appreciated the attempt to streamline meal planning and cooking, but the recipes were just straight up bad.

Everyone is tired of MONTLY subscriptions it’s like buying an iPhone is pointless anymore bc all the apps for it cost money MONTLY Apple needs to do something about this is ridiculous. I’m not paying you 9.99 a month for an app that is all AI generated which chat gpt or Google Gemini can do for free while you sit at home growing your pockets . Price needs to be much lower or a one time purchase

You need a subscription to even use it. Waste of time.

I thought this app would help me find recipes to help with a busy lifestyle. Unfortunately, these recipes are not practical. I wish I’d have taken a better look before I’d made the purchase. Most of the recipes come across as strange-unless you’re just looking for a tuna sandwich. Really, Halloumi Butter Marsala, Lean Turkey Shakshuka? And I put in what I don’t like & it still showed me recipes containing those ingredients. Terrible app.-Do not waste your money!!

I wanted to try the free trial and then a pop up said I could get one year for half price. I assumed incorrectly that meant it would start when the free trial was over. I reached out to customer support and got no answer. They mentioned in their reply that my inbox was full, but I have been getting emails on that address all that day and since then. Now I am stuck with an app which does not do what I want it to, adding my own recipes is a pain, the selection of recipes is poor. I would not recommend to anyone.

I was told I had to sign up for the “free” trial, as there was no opting out of it. I was told I would be notified the days before it ended and renewed, but I had a feeling I would not be and (surprise) I was not. So I went in the exact day the “trial” was supposed to end and canceled, only to receive a notification a few days later saying it would not renew my subscription for the year 2026! The app isn’t even that helpful, and it’s so upsetting I’m out $59 when I just wanted help planning meals to save money! I didn’t even want the “free trial!”

Originally paid for this app and now wants me to sign up for an account and pay a monthly fee. No thank you.

I created the account and set up the annual with the free week trial and the app kept opening to create account and have free trial. Never was able to get past that screen even when trying different login methods.

Cannot adjust macros. Most recipes are very high in carbs. I was never offered simple egg scramble for breakfast but always some overnight oats. Had to dig to find eggs. I wrote no beans and had meals with beans in my meal plan

Canceling is not easy. Not many substitutions on the recipes. Food is bland tasting.

Seems like a great app. Wish they offered a free version as well. Maybe I’ll reinstall and change my review down the line when I have the chance to purchase.

It makes no sense to get someone to sign up just to hit us with the subscription in the end. Why not start with that? Instead of wasting peoples damn time.

I would like to be able to change the serving size. I like to make one meal for the whole week. Still can’t find an all in one meal prep app. I’d like to see options with calories for breakfast subtract those from what I need for the day and give me snack and lunch options. Subtract those for another snack and or dinner. Let me build my own and play

I was excited because it had me doing a quiz and I was looking forward to getting some meal planning done. After spending some time doing the quiz it hits me with the ‘oh you’ll get a free trial for a week!’ Well it would have been nice to know you were planning to make me pay at all before I did the whole quiz…

Stated there was a free option, illegally lying. This is fraud. If I have to enter a card number it is not free. End of story. My 2026 wish is your bankruptcy for fraud.
