Scenic Motorcycle Navigation

While making a map to ride is ok my issue is that when I went on the ride it did not follow the route which I created. Also along the route unwanted directions and loops appeared along the route. While I could skip them it sometimes was difficult to determine what was part of the actual route and what was just made up. I was also surprised to see that settings from the Mac version did not present themselves on the iPhone when riding. Why are their separate settings for each?

Could not, no matter what I did, or where I serached for an answer on the web, figure out how to get it to stop placing my starting point in Redwood, City. I'm trying to flee the obtusely impossible UI of Google Maps, not sink deeper into the swamp. Thanks but no thanks.

I’m not going to pay the expensive monthly/annual fees for this when I can get the same thing for free from other apps, it’s got nice features but not worth it

It tried to send me grown roads that have been under construction for a year, and the option to avoid highways and take curvy roads keep taking me on loops. I was heading into the mountain. And only the 2 lane highway I was in went up there. It kept takin me On loops that were 3-4 miles long and then putting me back on the highway 2 miles down from where I got off of it. Figured out how to disable 2nd and 3rd voice warnings, but when I decided to stop taking the detour loops, it tried every road for the next 20 miles, with four warnings per try. “Turn here in half a mile. Now 1/4 mile. Now 100 yard. Now 50 feet. “. Over and over and over. Oh and despite being disabled, it will give a shrill sing for “recalculating” every time I refused a detour.

Unintuitive. Google Maps is better lol

Routing in bosnia and herzegovina is terrible. Unusable most of the time.

Bought in off of reviews. Gave it a destination and it couldn’t turn out a scenic ride.

This is about the most unfriendly user app I have ever used. Even synthetic intelligence couldn't figure out how to use it. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

It’s a bit tricky learning how to use the app. Am I missing the tutorial

Every time I want to import a GPX file I have to go through a several step process. Very painful.

This app is beyond slow. Have to tell it twenty times to save a route. Even if you create a copy of someone else’s route you have to tell it to create a copy multiple times to finally get it to copy. Then when you follow someone else’s route you have no clue what kind of roads you’re about to hit. Should make people leave a brief description of the roads. Avoid getting down into township roads that are muddy 🤬. Def not paying for this app any more!!

Never ever I’ve been exposed to such a complicated navigation app. Canceling two hours after subscribing.

Every single ride I’ve tried to create has tried to put me on i405. Nope. No means to change the settings to allow me to avoid highways or freeways. Until then, removing this app.

Every time I use the search function for a location it crashes while generating a route. For an app you pay for this is unacceptable.

If I could give this app negative star’s I would, the only thing that’s good about it is the route it found, the rest is a disaster. Loading the GPX file was a pain (and having to load it again when the app quit for some unknown reason was no picnic either), the interface was annoying to use I couldn’t figure out how to put it in turn by turn mode it just stayed in map overview mode, someone on the ride found the turn by turn that was fine but it consumed a lot of battery life and the battery saver mode is so basic that it causes some confusion, and everyone’s map on the ride was a little different so some people took different turns, this app makes you wish that Google would just build a choice for the scenic route in to Google Maps, oh and lastly this goes out to all Nav apps not jus this one, the turn by turn “voice” part should be off by default and there should be a button on the screen prominently featured to turn the goddam voice off!!!!

Got the app because I can't custom adjust a scenic direction path on Apple maps, got the app and bought premium subscription. Could not even use it one time. Kept trying to "add to route" different locations near my target and each one would cause the app to shut down. Not wasting more time, cancelled premium, deleting app. Please fix this extremely obnoxious issue for existing users and potential users just trying to ride that day.

I loved this app when it first was released and bought a good amount of maps. Now I can’t even plan a simple trip and am totally perplexed of how to get from one point to another. I’ve cancelled my subscription.

The Scenic App will either sell or give away you email address and you will get junk email from companies like “TTAC / the truth about cancer”, which is nothing even related to the APP.

There are no decent tutorials. The last tutorial I found was about three iterations ago and there’s been significant changes. I’m sure once you get the hang of it. It’s probably a good program. But getting the hang of it is a beat down.

First time I used the app I’m routed into a miles-long traffic jam. No warning or an alternative route served up. I lost almost an hour. I used Waze to get me out of there. Maybe I missed something in the settings. Disappointing.

This app is so confusing and so incredibly difficult to use. It is an exercise in how not to design a mobile app. If you have mountains of time to waste trying to find a decent motorcycle route than this app is for you!

Can’t route anything.

I keep trying to find a route planning app. Like many others the map data is old. There is entire bridge locally that shows under construction in the app that has been completed for some time. Google shows it done. Half the apps including this one do not. Hit the update button scenic. When you’re charging this much for a MAP APP. The map should be current.

This app was one of my favorite until the most recent update. Now it is EXTREMELY slow when trying to build a route using the power planner. It is so bad that I have completely stopped using the app I used to love. I would not recommend this to anyone if you don’t have it already.

I’ve looked all over the app and have not found an offline map option. It’s a heavily advertised feature but nowhere to be seen. The support page lists all the states and countries supported but doesn’t say how to access them. I viewed the map section I was going to ride off-road on. I loaded the route. I even navigated the route while online. I figured the map must be downloaded! Nope! The navigation route dropped when I turned off my phone for overnight camping. I turned it on in the morning and the route was gone and it was demanding online access to do regular routing which is listed as offline capable in the app! This thing could have stranded me if I hadn’t been in a group using Gaia and onX. If offline maps are actually supported, they should be easy to find. At least create a support page that shows how to do it!
