Store ratings include star-only taps from in-app prompts, which skew high. The peak and recent figures come only from people who wrote a review, which skews low. Compare each against itself: the drop is the signal, and a big gap between the two usually means heavy rating prompting is masking unhappy users.

SUBSCRIPTION

★ · v26.12.1 · Oct 13, 2026

With the Ring subscription plan, you do not need a separate subscription with Eero. Just create an account to access Ring devices connected to your Eero wifi. I made that mistake once before and the +plus features on the Eero App were not performing as intended. It was a rep from Ring that told me this info. I agree with others who stated the option to remove previously known or unknown device/s is not possible. It goes away eventually but you have to wait for the next App update in my case. Update: The new user interface now hides blocked devices on the main page which is good and can be found under devices blocked settings. The new issue I am having is the rogue behavior of 1 security camera connected to the guest wifi which should be connecting to the eero wifi extender closer to it; except it is changing its connection to the main eero base station which is not ideal when someone hacks the specific camera.

Eero App

★ · v26.12.0 · Oct 10, 2026

The app is displaying unusual information it says it’s not authentic please fix the error .

Wouldn’t connect properly.

★ · v26.11.1 · Oct 3, 2026

My Eero stopped working on Thursday, I tried factory resetting it and setting up a new network, but the Eero wouldn’t connect to Bluetooth. I clicked the “try again” button, and it gave me the same error every single time I used the “try again” button. I changed the network settings, but it didn’t work for any setting.

Phone number just to set up a router ?

★ · v26.11.1 · Oct 1, 2026

Demanding your real phone number just to set up a router or WAP is an invasion of user privacy. Users shouldn’t need an online account at all, much less one that requires a phone number!

Where is live usage?

★ · v26.10.0 · Sep 18, 2026

I used this feature all the time and now it’s just gone.

Awesome System, One Flaw Please Fix

★★ · v26.10.0 · Sep 14, 2026

I absolutely love my Eero and the way in which it constantly protects against internet threats. It even reports on these threats. Here’s where the flaw is - you can’t identify where on your devices these are coming from. PLEASE IMPLEMENT A REAL TIME TEXT OR ALERT WHEN THE SYSTEM IDENTIFIES A THREAT AND WHAT DEVICE THE THREAT IS COMING FROM SO USERS CAN SELF IDENTIFY AND STOP THESE AS THEY HAPPEN. It’s impossible to look at the activity area and identify what you were doing at the time the issue occurred. If these were alerted real time, users could at least possibly figure out where the threat is coming from. If Eero would do this, the system would be perfect and I would raise my review to 5 stars.

Quit asking

Too many devices to connect and doesn't work.

★ · v26.10.0 · Sep 8, 2026

So complicated to use. Instructions lame

Drops connection constantly and covers about half the advertised area

★ · v26.10.0 · Sep 8, 2026

Drops connection on a fiber feed, dumps devices from my network and lets random unknown devices connect and 200Kbps using 100% of the data on a 500Mbps service, two upsales 3 units plus 2 extenders for less coverage area dead zones and pathetic data speeds coupled with 20-30 disconnects a day and over 24hrs in wasted time with customer service calls. I can without a doubt call this system trash, because it is trash and it covers about 18’ radius not 25’ and it keeps increasing its unuseability that has caused the loss of multiple days of work and is becoming a liability towards my livelihood with two service location both not receiving the data speeds I’m being charged for and that’s pathetic having had dial-up connections just as fast and twice as reliable as this terrible system is. 3 times the power is required to cover less of a footprint and 4 times the amount of devices to cover that area is not an upgrade nor is the eero system eco friendly or green. On a side note the leaves on the plants in the room with the main eero have been turning brown (not yellowing) like sunburnt crispy and dropping off the plants and another has completely burnt in less than 5 months and is starting to do the same to half my fig tree that is facing the eero, only half so I know these things are putting off enough radiation to burn plants to their demise is gonna lead me to research into this because it’s not looking like these things are even remotely safe or practical nor cost efficient at all. Really curious what has been using bandwidth on the 6g since I have nothing that uses that, but it’s connecting to something and whatever it is it’s not in the device list.

No device deletion

★ · v26.10.0 · Sep 7, 2026

I had to reset my whole home network because there’s no way to delete unknown devices in the app or known devices for that matter!

Your system sucks

★ · v26.10.0 · Sep 7, 2026

I bit it. I was told it was simple to install and very good at improving signal. Your instructions are absolutely ridiculous and very difficult to follow and does not allow back up to prior point. I hate the system and will tell my associates to pass on even considering the system. An angry annoying waste of my time. It will now go to my garage in a dustbin

Bad UX

★ · v26.10.0 · Sep 2, 2026

The latest version of the app on iPhone is unusual bad. Nothing is intuitive and for a long time user like me, I can’t find how to change anything in a straight forward way. Please fix this bad UI/UX.

The Erro 6+ is not friendly to add another erro for WiFi signal extender. I thinking to return it to the you back and get refund.

Just awful that you need an app and acct

★ · v26.10.0 · Aug 31, 2026

This router was provided by my ISP, not a choice I made outright and will likely replace it. I have to create an account with personally identifiable info to setup a router?? That would be an amazon product for you.

constant alert badges

★★ · v26.9.1 · Aug 31, 2026

this app really violates notification badge norms. if you make me open the app to clear notification badges, you better have a notification center where i can see my notifications. I get alerts and there’s no way to see what they are. Response says to give them my email so they can dive into my account? how about just having an alert center so i can see why I have alert badges?

So Far So Bad

★ · v26.9.1 · Aug 29, 2026

How about some words, more information? Some of us can still read and write. Simple details like which Network Port to Plug into? Still not working right, I thought this was a router and I could plug this into my modem. No success doing this yet, the eero will contact via my old router, but I do not need two, this was supposed to be an upgrade.

Worst WiFi ever

★ · v26.9.1 · Aug 26, 2026

The app is nice the provider sucks. Can’t use this WiFi for anything. My t-mobile hotspots works better

Trying to upsell

★★ · v26.9.1 · Aug 20, 2026

Just close the windows when it tries to force you to pick a subscription

Garbage router and app

★ · v26.9.1 · Aug 20, 2026

Every time one of my devices dies and I recharge it, the stupid router sees it as a “New Device” which is very annoying. FIX IT NOW!

Good hardware, pushy sales tactics

★★ · v26.9.1 · Aug 20, 2026

So many features that are standard on routers that are significantly more affordable are behind a subscription which is insane given eero’s are fairly pricey. It’s a real shame because I have had a good WiFi experience with them but I avoid using the app as much as possible because it is full of advertisements for more routers and services.

Unusable unless you pay

★ · v26.9.1 · Aug 19, 2026

Do not use Eero. recent updates have made this app an advertisement for “eero plus.” The app is horrible to use now. You should look for a different WiFi system provider

Just got eero through t-mobile and its a rip off

★ · v26.9.1 · Aug 14, 2026

Eero charges a premium subscription for Dynamic DNS, which is a standard feature on countless routers. The moment I discovered that, I immediately got rid of my Eero in favor of literally any other router. I will never buy a Eero product, and I will never recommend one to anyone. Eero is absolute junk. I looked up how much this mesh system costs: $600. A $600 router, and they still lock Dynamic DNS behind a paid subscription. That is absolutely ridiculous. Before you go to the store and buy one of these, think twice. You can buy a Netgear, TP-Link, Asus, or Google router for less money, and all of them give you far more customization without requiring a subscription. I know for a fact that with Netgear and TP-Link you can configure VPNs, firewalls, Dynamic DNS, and countless other advanced settings without being nickel-and-dimed. They’re cheaper, offer more features, give customers more control, and are simply better products. And why does a router even need an identity protection subscription? That’s just another pointless add-on. If they aren’t paywalling firewall functionality, then the firewall should already be providing the protection most people actually need. As you can probably tell from this review, I’m genuinely appalled by the decision to lock very basic networking features behind a subscription. To make matters worse, I also discovered this router is app-only. You can’t even manage it through a web browser like virtually every other router on the market. Once again, Eero is absolute junk and nowhere near worth its $600 price tag. I’ve worked with enterprise networks and fiber ONTs for over 10 years, and this is by far the worst router experience I’ve ever had. I refuse to pay for their subscription. I’m just going to call T-Mobile, ask whether they expect this router back, and if they don’t, I’m literally throwing this $600 mesh router in the trash. Edit: I also discovered Eero is an Amazon brand, which explains the lack of consumer customization and the unparalleled level of greed. Given Amazon’s business model, I also have questions about what telemetry this router collects. It’s an Amazon brand so tracking your data is on par with Amazon. Another edit: I legit threw this system in the trash so somewhere out there, there is a work eero system in the garbage for anyone to find. and bought the TP-Link Deco 7 Pro. TP-Link does not lock features behind a subscription, and does not ask me to buy a subscription that is a complete waste of money. I have the ability to manage my network in a web browser.

Only phone app available

★ · v26.9.0 · Aug 9, 2026

I hate using this app. It seems scammy and seems like it doesn’t have my best interests at heart

Garbage

★ · v26.8.0 · Jul 28, 2026

Truly the biggest trash system I’ve ever used. Forced to use this nonsense by ring, it works like abject garbage. Truly engaging. Ring and eero are genuinely awful. Use a competitor.
